Country Gardens Print Magazine

I ordered this magazine for my daughter in Ct who is a great gardener. When we visited them this past weekend, I noticed it, as she must’ve been reading Country Gardens prior to our arrival from Fl. As I had never seen the Country Gardens magazine, I thumbed thru it, finding it colorful & interesting. I’m not sure of all the content as I was w/the grandkids, but I hope there’s info on planting various perennials pertaining to cold weather vs warm weather climates, as what one could plant in the south (ie: if they wanted a lilac) as a very close substitute. All in all, the magazine was great!

If you like beauty that is NOT precise, geometric or museum-like, you'll love all of the hints and layouts provided in this journal. The ONLY drawback is that "country" is, apparently, defined as "green, moderate climate". That would leave the water-starved Southwest out of the picture.

My husband teases me. I read or listen to my books online, but I still get my magazines in print. Especially this one because I am such a plant and garden lover. I just enjoy the articles and have for years.

Love this magazine. Best price at Amazon but go back in and cancel auto renewal or next year your charged full price. Little thin in winter but love the garden profiles, blueprints and how they name all the plants if you see one you like. They also have interesting specific garden types like how to do rain garden. Loved that one! Good ratio of articles to advertising as well.

Just received my first issue - I ordered this because the price was so great on Prime Day. I have bought this on the newsstand previously but got the subscription for less than the price of a single issue at a bookstore. I always love the photos and think that I'm going to replicate some of the great gardens I see; it hasn't happened yet, but a girl can hope!

Love the magazine. Although the ads make up entirely too much of it.
