So glad I bought this one also. Best choice for iPhone 8 plus
This product I love the size!!! I have an iPhone 8 Plus. So I bought two MFI certified adapters one was flat with wholes side by side this one is rectangular with two wholes one above the other.I tried the other one first and with a little playing around I got it to work with earphones but no luck charging. So I was willing to try this one out and so glad I did. Upon connecting with charging cord connected first to adapter then into the phone it immediately started charging my phone. I have it still connected as I’m reviewing this adapter and it’s still charging. I then connected the earphones and this adapter immediately sent the music on Pandora to my earphones no having to play around with cords or adapter. I wish I had known this was the perfect adapter I would have bought two instead of one of each. I will be purchasing another one to use with my iPad so I’m not constantly plugging this in and taking it out of phone and tablet. The sound quality is as awesome!!! As the iPhone earphones are. No interference plays smoothly as if you don’t have anything between the earphones and the phone.THIS IS THE ADAPTER YOU WILL NEED FOR AN IPHONE 8 plus. Do not get the other one. The other one may work better on a different iPhone so I’m not saying don’t try it out. But for the iPhone 8 Plus this is the adapter you will need and that works with this phone.

Worked perfectly, slowly stopped working
At first, it worked perfectly, but then it slowly stopped working. After light use over the course of a year or so, it stopped being able to do any audio, even if that was the only thing plugged in. Disappointing they don't hold up.

The ability to charge and record audio NICE...
Love this for live streaming.. I grab my DJI Osmo and this and off I go (including my wireless mic and power brick) and I can stream all day with professional audio all day . Great stuff. I have tried about 10 different cables to make this happen and sadly I had to go through all of these to get to this one. Im glad I had found it as I was getting close to giving up.. SO this thing rocks it allows you to do remote live streams with your iPhone and get clean Audio from your pro rig.. Mine I use a Saramonic SmartRig II XLR Microphone & 6.3mm Guitar Adapter with Phantom Power Preamp to hook a wireless mic to.. and it works perfectly.. Give it a shot you wont be disappointed..

iPad with headphones and charging, little bit of trouble with certification
This product was very inexpensive so I wasn't worried about a negative outcome. When I first plugged it into my iPad gen9 (fairly new but with lightning connector), I got a message that it "might not be certified." With the device in the iPad, I had to plug the charger into the device a couple of times in order to start charging. (Why I gave 4 not 5 stars). The headphones seemed to work flawlessly. Had more trouble with charging the next day so I did some research. The unit claimed (on Amazon) to be certified and the advice from my search was to restart the iPad. Got everything working again and so far things have settled down and have not had any charging probs although I have not unplugged anything since the reboot. So this behavior may be normal for all I know. I think the form factor is most important. My iPad is on a movable stand that can overhang my recliner. The charge port and home button are on my right in landscape orientation. A right angle plug "might" be more convenient as might be one that splits into two separate plugs with 2" cables of their own. It all depends on your setup. But the reason I bought this was to be able to use lightning ear buds and charge simultaneously. The lightning buds have better sound than the 3.5mm ring type headphone Jack buds. It also leaves the entire left end of the iPad free of wires which facilitates swinging it out of the way. I'd recommend this unit based on price and functionality but with the certification caveat. Good luck and give it a try.

Great product! Wish I knew about it sooner!
I always had issues with my iphone. with only one jack, i was always confronted with either to charge my phone at night because I only had 1 battery life left, or to shut off my volume and struggle to read the subtitles because I didn't want to disturb my kids with the loud noise. Now with this product, i can do both, listen on my earphones AND charge my phone! Wish I had bought this sooner! didn't even know they had this kind of product out! amazing! made my evenings in my bed much easier and more relaxed!

Didn’t work for my original purpose
I bought this for my iPad so that I could plug it into a charger and to my guitar using a Focusrite interface. It does charge, however the interface device is not recognized by my iPad. Even when I just plugged in the Focusrite interface alone the iPad still didn’t recognize it.A big disappointed with that, since it was my sole purpose for buying it.But I can still use it for my iPhone in my car so that I can plug it into my car stereo and charger at the same time. I found that you must plug both the audio accessory and charger cord into the splitter first, before plugging it into your phone. Otherwise, you may get a “Accessory not supported “ error on your phone.

It’s been 3 days and it no longer works
I received this adapter 3 days ago. I’ve only used it only for 2 days. The ONLY way it works is if I use it at night because I don’t move my phone and charger. Today I used it during the day and the music I was listening to stopped at least 6 different times. Each time I had to plug and unplug everything. I thought maybe it was my headphones or maybe the charger but nope. It was neither of those things because my headphones work perfectly fine without the adapter and so does the charger. The problem is that the adapter is not being recognized by my phone although it says it’s MFI certified the quality says it’s not certified.

Small and compact
it works great with phone calls and allows me to use corded earphones/microphone (whenever my bluetooth runs out of power) as well as charge the phone at the same time. I mean, if my bluetooth ear buds run out of battery power, then my phone has been on just as long, so it needs charged too - but work doesn't stop and this little device is perfect to carry in my purse, pocket, or computer back.
