Good case
Not as sturdy as the higher end case but is working well so far. And it slips into pockets easier than the heavy duty one.

Loved it and bought it again
I bought this case in 2021, and I loved it so much that I just bought it again. It is durable, and has protected my phone many times including when I accidently dropped it on the stairs and it went tumbling down. It has protected my phone with kids using it. I only got a new one because my buttons wore out, but I use my phone a lot for work and it took three years for them to wear out. It’s not super thick so it doesn’t feel bulky, and I have a solid grip on the case so so it doesn’t fall easily. I’m super happy with its performance and will only buy otter box cases now.

Reliable Otterbox protection, but some screen sensitivity issues
This review is for both the YWXTW privacy screen and the Otterbox Commuter case for iPhone 12 mini. The YWXTW privacy screen protector is a good screen protector. It comes with 2 protectors, screen cleaner, cleaning cloth, dust tape, and a handy installation frame that make installation so easy. So far, I’ve only dropped my phone a couple times onto a hardwood floor from about 3 ft, and had no issues with screen damage. I use this screen protector with an Otterbox Commuter series case and have had no fit issues. There is literally no space between where this screen protector ends and the otterbox case meet. And yet, I have no air bubbles or other issues. The only non-covered screen portion is where the ear speaker, camera, and light sensors are. You can see small thin slivers of bright uncovered screen on either side, but honestly, it’s a minor gripe for a privacy screen that works so well. I don’t like that this entire area is uncovered, but I understand why they did it and so far this hasn’t affected performance. I have accidentally tossed my keys in my pocket with my phone and haven’t had any issues with scratches, so I assume that the case and screen protector are doing a good job. The privacy screen doesn’t make a huge dent in the vibrant colors of the OLED display, but it does darken it somewhat. If having anything affect the color of your display is important to you, you probably shouldn’t use a privacy screen filter. But adjusting the brightness has solved that issue enough for me to still be happy with my display. One major issue I have with my setup is with touch sensitivity- with the case AND the screen protector. My commuter case has caused me to sometimes have issues with recognition of my finger presses on my bottom row quick launch icons. And weirdly enough, sometimes when I’m using my phone one-handed, parts of my hand will rest on the screen edge of the case and cause other areas of the screen to malfunction. This problem disappears when I go back to single-handed operation without the case. But then I’ve noticed some occasional touch sensitivity issues with other parts of the screen when I just use the screen protector without the case. Also, I’ve noticed that when I’m reading a book and using larger non-bold text, the screen will give me somewhat of a 3D display to the text, like the text is raised with a shadow. It’s odd and feels almost like double vision, but that issue goes away when I decrease the brightness of my screen. Regardless, the issues aren’t constant enough to make me remove this screen protector and I very much enjoy the privacy screen function. But I am getting annoyed by the sensitivity issues I get with this case. A major part of the reason for me getting an iPhone 12 mini was because I could finally get a nice small phone to use with a single hand. But I love the protection I get from Otterbox Commuter cases, which I have had on each of my phones since the iPhone 4. I’ve even accidentally driven over my iPhone 5s in an Otterbox commuter case, and only received a minor crack in the screen. So I love Otterbox. But this glitch is annoying in spite of the level of protection offered. For a $40 case, I’m not sure if this is worth the hassle. The grip on this case seems better than it was on my XS Max that I was constantly dropping- partially due to the slick sides and lack of sufficient grip. But that could just be because the phone is so much smaller. All buttons are easily accessed, though the power button does require a bit more force to depress. This is a relatively slim case, and yet the camera lenses remain perfectly recessed and protected from drops. The case is also nicely carved around the camera lenses to prevent glare from flashes, etc. Again, I like this protection combo, but I don’t think it’s the best for the money. For a case and screen protector purchased on Amazon, $50 is a lot of moolah. But had I purchased this combo at a Verizon store, I would’ve spent much more on the same combo, and that grates my nerves for the issues I’m having. I’m keeping this screen protector until I find something better for the 12 mini, and I’m debating whether or not I’ll keep the commuter case as the screen sensitivity issues are really annoying with one-handed operation. But I don’t think I wouldn’t buy either of these again if there were better alternatives. Well, actually, I’d probably buy both of these agin if they were half the price they are now. But at this price point, I’ll keep looking for better. At this point, this is just a practical combo.
