BEST thing is the lid which closes tightly. Nothing gets in or out! Simple lifting the handle on top opens the container and closing it is easy because the action of putting the handle down again engages the gasket. The plastic is sturdy. So far not a one has broken in use. They are easy to clean, too. I love being able to see through the container without opening--a glance on the shelf tells me what I am low on.

Great storage container!
I love the design of this container! The materials are of good quality and easy to use. I learned that if you wash the lid you need to remove the silicone band and wash the lid in hot soapy water then rinse and DRAIN the the lid on it’s side and let it air dry. This prevents moisture from getting in your sugar and becoming like cement. You could use a hair dryer directed into the slits in the lid to speed up the drying process.

Best containers I have found!
I am redesigning my panty to make it easier to see what I have, and I am loving these containers. They come in different sizes and are stackable to make organization easier. The lids provide an airtight seal and don't leak water after washing like some of the other brands I tried. The container (not the lid) is also dishwasher safe. They are more on the expensive side but definitely worth the extra cost.

Don’t put in dishwasher!
I do like these containers. I have bought several over the years however, years before the cleaning instructions were to hand wash them. Now they’re telling you you can put them in the dish machine (not the lids). DON’T, I put them on light wash, air dry—- they cracked. These containers are nice, but too pricey to get ruined in the dish machine——don’t do it!!!
