RACE RAMPSRR-WC Rubber Wheel Chock - Set of 4

I'm a little confused as why other people have not given these chocks FIVE STARS !!!These chocks are simply the BEST you can buy... yes they're a little on the pricy side, but consider you get 4 chocks / 2 pairs. But you can't put a price on your safety.... and at the $50 price point for 4 chocks.... its a great deal. Even the larger triangle airplane style chocks are price at $20 each... and unless you're holding an 18-wheeler.... these Race Ramps chocks will hold any car, truck or work van with no problems.They're not super heavy but they're not light either. I use these to service my german cars that weigh over 2.5 tons / 5000 pounds and i use this on my work trucks that weigh over 3 tons / 6500+ poundsI have used the plastic chocks, which are pretty much only good for temporarily parking trailers and the metal chocks. The plastic ones will crease and crack if abused or put to too much force on... and the metal ones, well, they're heavy, they don't grip unless you're on asphalt and they rust and can be dangerous if you carry them in your garage and accidentally hit the car...These Race Ramps rubber wheel chocks are super solid, i tried to drive over one.... it was almost impossible. there is a small hollow void in the center on the bottom side. It does not affect the chock, if anything it shaves off weight that you don't need to carry around and as someone else mentioned, you can eye-bolt them together if you really need to.The rubber grips great on a smooth garage floor, perfect on a stained garage floor and on concrete and asphalt.... you may as well think they're self-gluing.... very grippy on rougher surfaces!!There isn't a single thing wrong with these.... wish they made wider versions but i guess that would be overkill as these work perfectly on my 275 wide rear tires.Please click YES if my review have been helpful to you, it will encourage me to continue writing and updating my reviews, and leave a comment if you have any questions, I will be more than happy to answer if I can be of help.

These are good chocks. I was disaaapinted, however, to find that one of the set I received had errant cut on the base, where the rubber was trimmed at the factory. I had to return them.Unlike other Race Ramp products these are NOT made in USA. They are NOT marked with the country of origin. They are nearly identical to the ones selling at $8.99 each at my local Northern Tools store. Those are marked made somewhere in Asia. I don't recall which country. That means I can get a set of 4 for under $36. The mold numbers inside the bottom cavity are the same, and the dimensions and weight are the same. Yes, as another reviewer stated, they are hollow but heavy rubber.The only difference between these and the Buyers' were shallow slits cut into the bottom running parallel to the car axles in their installed position. I'm not sure that they help very much and are worth the extra dollars. I gave a set of four of the Buyers to a friend for his boat trailer a couple of Christmases, ago. They are quite heavy work very well.If you likee to see these, just go to either Northern or Tractor Supply. They are heavu and work well, but I'd wouldn't pay over $20 more for the Race Ramps label or the slits on the bottom.For my Race Ramps to check the tires on the ramps, I'll get the $3.24 each yellow Camcos lightweight plastic ones that, to my surprise, ARE Made in USA. Since the Race Ramps material is a little flexible, I see no problems with the cheapies working just as well.On concrete, however, the Buyers are a better deal.

I bought a Ford F-150 4x4 pickup truck with 18" tires and needed chocks for stabilizing the truck when jacking or winching offroad. I bought three different chocks from Amazon.com and this is the set that worked.Measured size = 4"H x 5"W x 8"LMeasured weight = 6.7 lbs.Material = very thick, stiff black rubber with a hollow space on the bottom.I performed three crude tests on each candidate. The test surface was a dirt parking area with 7/16" gravel that's been pushed down into the dirt. Here are the tests:(1) Place a chock under each rear tire, put car in drive, release brake.(2) Place a chock under each rear tire, back up 2 feet, put car in drive, release brake.(3) Place a chock under each rear tire, put car in drive, accelerate gently until the truck ran over the chocks, inspect chocks for damage.These chocks in test 1 held the truck firmly in place, in test 2 stopped the forward motion of the truck, and in test 3 required a goodly amount of power to run over -- after which the chocks were dirty but unharmed.I now carry a pair in my truck.

Ordered these to go along with my new Race Ramps. I wanted to stay with a rubber product for use on the ground and especially on the Race Ramps because I didn't want to risk damage to the ramps. Really nice and heavy, does what it claims, prevents wheels from moving accidentally.I also have a pair of metal wheel chocks that are made in the USA and while I still use those, these have become my favorite, the metal ones have shown their age with rust around the chocks.The only negative that I can post about is the cost. Good quality product - you get what you pay for. I was not comfortable relying on cheap wheel chocks to keep my summer car from moving in a garage with 2% slope. Having these chocks at all 4 wheels did the trick nicely.

Awesome product. Pricey but worth it.
