Cooks evenly, easy cleanup, set up
In 2006 I received the older version of this Ronco rotisserie and used it frequently for nearly 13yrs so far as cooking every holiday Turkey, Beef Roast and too many Roasted Chickens to count. All were spectacular, moist juicy and all presented beautifully! Since then I had been unable to reproduce the spectacular results this unit created, thus my new unit arrived a few days ago. I cooked an 8lb Turkey breast to succulent (Basting it with herbed butter early during the cooking process) then apple juice thereafter to succulent perfection. Just to mention I usually place the unit on a small table outside on our deck to save inside counter space and it works nicely. It’s simple and easy to use”Just set it and forget it” you tube has helpful videos for first time users. The clean up can be a be detailed, unlike my last unit this one has a “detachable heat shield” this really helps with clean up. I covered mine with foil along with the bottom of drip pan. Front glass is detachable and was easily cleaned with Dawn Detergent and a Scrub Daddy. Same for the inside. I am planning to have this model for many years. Yes as some reviewers mentioned it does turn more slowly, the meat was still incredibly moist! It is a big large to store. I saw more compact models available but decided to stick with the original sized unit. I must confess this is my success for rave Turkey and meat reviews from our family and friends. Give it a try.

I love this rotisserie oven.
Even though this oven rotates slower than the older version, it still grills great delicious food. I pat dry the chicken skin with paper towels & rub a little olive oil all over & season with salt & pepper. I even put a touch of salt under the skin to render out more fat off the chicken. I think this newer version is just as good as the old one in terms of finished delicious food. Turkey thighs are great in the included basket, you don't even know your eating turkey, it taste so good in just under one hour. I keep my oven outside on my lanai on a TV tray with a round plastic tablecloth on top to keep the dust & dirt off. I highly recommend this rotisserie oven.

It’s ok
It didn’t seem to have as much thermal heating as my last one and it took longer to cook and not s at as well.

Easy to use, brings back fond memories from my first Showtime!
I had the original Showtime and it lasted at least 10+ years with great results. After the motor gave out, I just started going old school and using my oven. Many years later, I wondered if they were still selling it, and yes, they have the original or the modern oven. I read the reviews, and the modern one got great reviews, so I bought it. It was super familiar from the original, and I was easily able to get started after all these years. My first use was rotisserie chicken quarters. later that evening I made garlic ribeye steak, and they all came out fantastic. I suggest having a meat thermometer handy to ensure you don't under or over cook your fook. There's no temperature setting - just on for rotisserie, or stop for searing which is awesome to get the outside of whatever your cooking nice and crispy. I should have bought a replace a long time ago, and I forgot how cool and easy it was to make awesome meals. The only drawbacks TBH is the basket is a little on the small side, so if you'll have to plan out your cooking time if you're going to make larger meals. It's great for a family of 4 but if you're going to have a party-size, you'll need to repeat the process as you don't want to stuff the basked or load up the rack.

Our 2nd unit
Bought this unit as an update to the original I purchased 20 years ago. Whole family loved it. This one is a small upgrade. Glass is bowled and it can be locked down. Turn much slower than the original and cooks better. So far it’s been chicken wings, a whole chicken and a pork loin, with all the drippings going into a non stick pan. This will last and be used another 20 years or so.

This version does produce the same excellent taste to meats cooked in it as the original version.
This Rincon is a good second edition of the oven. The build quality of the original is slightly better than this version.

Melted
Loved our old Showtime… still working after 20 years. Wanted a second one. But this new one… not as much. After 2 months (and only 4 uses) the dial knob has melted enough to become brittle and crack, causing it to fall off. A pair of pliers will soon be needed to turn the dial. Also, the door will most certainly break at some point. Roomy inside, but very poor design. Working with a very helpful customer service agent at Ronco now. We’ll see how it turns out. All this aside, it does cook some really nice meals. Meats are tender and juicy! Update: the company rep did send us another knob right away. She went to the trouble of finding “the closest fit” from another unit. Although it was a nice gesture, the knob did not fit strongly enough to turn the actually knob post. Using a screwdriver to turn the post and having to guess at the time being set (since the numbers are on the broken knob)
