Fundamentals of Geotechnical Engineering

Das finally cut the fat and got straight to the point with this book. I had Principles of Geotech, 9th edition in college, and even gave it a 2/5 starts on here with a few comments. I have sprinted through Chapter 10, the shear strength chapter, in all of about 3 hours now. Finally, a book of his that I can understand and keeps my attention because he gets straight to the point and explains concepts in a way that is much easier to digest without all the filler. He even goes on to add cement stabilized roadway (ground improvement chapter) calcs, sheet pile chapters, and a couple more chapters that the Principles book didn't cover.To any and all geotech professors reading this..PLEASE ASSIGN THIS BOOK OVER ALL OTHERS. THIS MAKES SENSE FOR STUDENTS WHEN WE'RE TRYING TO LEARN THIS STUFF AT 1 AM AND YOUR NOTES DIDNT MAKE SENSE IN CLASS.
