After seeing many new stories about the bacteria building up in humidifiers and the filters, I thought it was necessary to replace mine. So very easy as soon as I located my unit number. Correct filter, works perfectly

Pricey, but does the job
I change these annually. I mostly use the humidifier in the winter to moisten the hot air and to help prevent dry throat problems. I sometimes place a cotton ball with eucalyptus oil on top to help with breast issues.
