Good book, but a reprint with a new title
This is a very good resource for those interested in late 19th century British furniture and decor, however it should be noted this title is a reprint of Abbeville Press's (1997) "Victorian and Edwardian Decor: From the Gothic Revival to Art Nouveau".

Informative
I like the book, although I'd probably have organized it differently. Books on the Edwardian period are surprisingly scarce, and this is surely the best you can get.

Victorian and Edwardian decor
This book is more for people interested in a bit of history and furniture from the past. The book contains some colored but mostly black and white photo's along with a few drawings but it is well put together and educational reading and if your interested in older styles of beautiful furniture you will enjoy this book.

using for set design references
love this book...much to admire I like the way it is chaptered with star designers of the period to show collections and looks. I learned a lot from the book . It is well illustrated, and makes a good reference. I'm sure I will turn to it time and again.

helpful with remodel
My contractor and I have found this book very helpful in renovating my 1918 Edwardian home in San Francisco. Thank you for all the research that you have done to make this a complete reference.
