Tripp Lite USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Active Extension Repeater Cable (A M/F) 10 Meter (33-ft.) (U026-10M), Grey

I work in battery R&D and purchased this for work with my account using the p-card I was given by my manager. My company has sites around the globe, so we do a lot of video calls. One our labs that I work in is used for constructing 2 volt batteries- handling lead and sulfuric acid. Bringing laptops into that lab is out of the question as it could expose them to lead and lead oxide dust that we would then bring out of the lab as contamination and possibly bring home to our families. I have this cable set up through the ceiling tiles to connect to my laptop in another room, and allow me to use a webcam (mounted on a tripod) and a bluetooth headset to communicate while working in that lab and still eliminate any risk of bringing lead out of the room. It works great. No loss of picture quality, and it's long enough to be able to go from the next room over and still allow the camera to be placed anywhere within the assembly lab.

I got this cable to clear space on one of our computer desks and clear up some of the distraction that came with everyone visiting that desk to get items they printed. It allows me to place the printer (not wifi capable) across the room without the usual signal loss problems if you extend USB over 10 feet. It works beautifully and the print jobs go through quickly and flawlessly.

Tried a 50' different maker first and the camera cut off and was choppy. Might have been the distance, might have been the quality. This one worked perfectly and is of good quality.

I've been using this cable for at least 6 months now, and my experience has been that it works as advertised. I have a powered USB hub at the other end with various input devices and at times an external blu-ray drive, and I haven't had any problems with speed or reliability - except the one time I zapped my mouse with a crazy static shock, but it came back online after a second. I would prefer an extender that uses standard Cat5 cable, but the only options I see for those cost many times as much as this cable. I've tried several USB 1.1 over Cat5 extensions for about the same price, and even the best of those were less reliable - and, obviously, slower - than this cable.

It keeps the full signal quality of my webcam and I can place it exactly where I needed. What else to say? good quality, long cable, works as advertised.

Does NOT appear to work with Vive. I simply plugged this in to the USB cable packaged with the Vive and then had that combo connected between the PC and linkbox (as recommended). Controllers won't sync with headset. But then I removed this extension and used the short USB and it worked again. So I'm concluding this does NOT work with the Vive to extend it. However, it does work for more basic, less power intensive things like a PS4 controller. So for that purposes this is a good extension. Now to solve my problem still...

Works fine supporting a unpowered mini-hub with a keyboard and mouse dongle attached. Awesome value, excellent quality and great utility make USB High Speed Active Extension Repeater Cable add up to Great Product Triplite!

This worked flawlessly for a while, then just stopped. For some reason, the computer would no longer recognize whatever the extension was plugged into. Since this is an "active" repeater cable, I have to believe the "active" portion died. I never abused the cable, so I know it wasn't damaged. I inspected the cable to be sure it wasn't damaged. Because it doesn't work at all, I can only give it one star. I won't be buying this brand to replace it.
