My hens do not like to keep shavings in their nesting boxes. I made plush, cushy, comfy nesting box environments for my hens, only for them to come in and push all the shavings/herbs/straw right onto the coop floor. They would lay their eggs directly on the wood, causing a huge mess of cracked eggs. I bought these nesting box liners, which they are unable to move from the nesting boxes. Problem solved! The eggs fall onto the turf and are protected from cracks! They clean up easily by hitting them with the hose. My only slight complaint is that they don't fit perfectly into my nesting boxes, even though the boxes are a pretty standard size. My nesting boxes are more rectangular, and these are more square. They fit in good enough, though, and do what I need them to do! I'm a happy hen mama.

My hens kept kicking all their bedding out in the nesting boxes so I cut these to fit and they seem to love them and can’t kick them out

Got these to try thinking they would last longer than the fiber/straw type ones. They are nicely made and look good but really not much padding. My hens did not like them. Put one in the box that they all like to lay in but they went to other boxes to lay. Totally avoided the boxes with these in.

Not good value for money.

My chickens would take it out of the box. It also started to lose the turf from the sides.

Most of my hens won’t use the nest pads & the ones who do have left a ‘mess’ and/or a broken egg(s). I’ve returned to using hay.

I switched from a excelsior pad and my laying hens are not happy with these.

I bought these for my chicken coop over the summer. They are easily sprayed off, I've washed them with dawn a couple times, and they still look like new. My ladies do still prefer to lay in the boxes with the pads that have the nest material attached over the grass ones though. I will buy these again.
