This boots are amazing! Very light and comfortable. I have used several boots of security but this ones are THE BOOTS!This take more than normal to arrive but I gave 5 starts because that was problem of the mail not the seller. Thank you very much

I’ve worn Acadias for many years. Anyone who’s worn them knows why they are worth the money. After 21 years on patrol, I thought I’d try a more cushioned 8 inch boot from Danner.No, these Tachyons are not made in the USA. No, these are not able to be re-soled like the stitch down Acadias. But that’s not why these exist for half the price. If you have an itch for a more comfy/athletic-type cushioned duty boot that still has a professional look, these are for you.I still wear my Acadias from time to time. The lace-to-toe styling scream professional. But man, these have heel to toe cushioning that’s hard to resist for 12+ hour shifts. After 4 months of regular use, these show zero weak points. No break-in period. Excellent sole that grips even on slippery surfaces.I had to look down a few times the first couple shifts to ensure I didn’t completely lose my mind and wear my running shoes on patrol. Haha.Great boots.

These are great duty boots. Lightweight, comfortable, professional appearance. The toe shines up well with some effort. They take a couple days to break in but are like tennis shoes afterward. They can be tight - if your feet run large, you might consider getting a size up.Only complaint is that they don't breathe terribly well. If you don't need the Gore-Tex waterproof capability, get the hot weather version instead. Your feet will thank you.

I read a lot of reviews on a lot of boots before taking a chance with these. Was worried about poor reviews for ankle support but I haven’t noticed any issues after having worn them for a few months. Much lighter and cooler on my feet than my old “jump boot” style boots and very comfortable. Laces are easy and pretty quick too which I was worried about after so long with side zip boots. Holding up well but gone are my days of being on my feet all day, lots of in and out of the car and office these days which are perfect with these boots. Only thing is that if you are going for a more dressed up look I’d go with a different style boot that you can shine up to that parade gloss look. Even shined up, these boots don’t look as good as a more traditional style if you need to dress up.
