Q: Is this petroleum-free?

I have used this gel for several years with great satisfaction. I am on Oxygen and CPAP at night, both of which dries the inside of the nose and this gel has given me great relief. My ENT Doctor recommended it to me and I have shared this info with many other folks, all with positive results. I do not see the word petroleum listed in the ingredients, however there are some words that I am not familiar with. Wishing you all the best. Ayr has my high recommendation. JoanC

Q: How deep can it be put in my nose? Doesn't bloody nose in morning start from deep in nose and not just around outer edge?

You can go almost an inch deep. If you are getting frequent bloody noses, see an ENT, who may cauterize the spot that is bleeding. Also, the ENT might prescribe Bacitracin 2%. Used twice a day for 10 days, it may clear up the problem. To stop a bleed, use Afrin (or generic) saturated on a kleenix rolled up in the nostril. Lie back for 20 mninutes with the Afrin solution, and that should stop the nose bleed. After, use the Bacitracin (2%, prescription strength) twice a day for 10 days. If the nose bleeds are frequent, you must see an ENT.

Q: Why does it say it’s free from parabens but the ingredient has paraben? False advertising?

Q: How many days does this last? It seems expensive for .5 ounce.

I buy 2 to 3 tubes a month and always have more then enough, but I use them every day. Don't forget your not using a gallon each application!
