Love these sticks!
If you've never walked with these sticks before then you've never really walked well!! Company has outstanding product and customer service. Emailed to get my height for correct stick length. And perfect! I've walked pavement and country pastures and hills, through thickets and mud puddles. No problems! Sticks keep me balanced, check puddle depth, move thorny bushes out of the way... And lots more! I have foot and heel problems so walking can be a challenge sometimes. Easy to lose your balance walking quickly when going up and down hills, but not using these. I'm telling you they pull me up the hill and guide me down them. Took about 20-30 minutes to get the hang of them. Just walk naturally and they'll do their thing. After a while you won't even realize how easily you've adapted to using them. So much so that I don't head out walking without them. And I'm walking faster with them too. Not because I'm trying to, just because they've upped my natural walking pace. Hand gloves fit well too. Great quality and if need be I wouldn't hesitate to replace them. Love, love, love them!!

More significant than they may appear.
We purchased a pair of these Swixes to replace our worn-out Leki-branded rubber tips for walking on urban streets with our Leki trekking poles. From their appearance, it is plain that the Swix tips emulate the shape of a miniature hiking boot. So what's the big deal about that? Well, it IS a Really Big Deal. The tips should be mounted over the pole's carbide tip facing "backwards" -- that is. the "toes" should face behind you. When so mounted, the walking experience is a true revelation: instead of positioning each pole well ahead of your foot, and pivoting around the tip's fixed point, constantly changing the angle between pole (and your wrist) and surface, then lifting the pole at the end of a stride and repeating the exercise, one places the "toe" of the boot-shape ahead and rotates the contact surface in the manner of normal walking (except the "boot toe" faces backwards). There is more contact of the undersurface of the tip with the surface of the pavement throughout the stride, and one finds oneself walking with the same gait that one uses when walking without trekking poles; it is a natural progression that feels "just right"; you have to experience the difference from normal pole tips to believe that such a tiny difference in the shape of the tips can make such a huge difference.

had a smaller footprint and lasted nicely but I ended up spending the extra money to ...
Tried these as a replacement for "Leki" tips I had been using. These did not fit on my poles as tightly as the "leki" brand, were cushioned well, had a smaller footprint and lasted nicely but I ended up spending the extra money to get the "leki" brand after my experiment with 2 other less expensive tips. The "leki" brand made my poles a lot better for asphalt/sidewalk trekking (grip wise, sound wise, vibration wise, wear wise longevity) the "leki were worth the price.

Getting Healthy Again
I am 68 years old. Retired.I have always loved the out of doors.Loved walking all my life. For several years now my legs have been tired achey and knees give out on me. I have gotten away from walking. I do very little. I recently purchased these Nordic Sticks and have just begun walking with them. Its a little hard since I am so out of shape. I tire fast. The sticks give me more of a work out than what I expected but I go slow. A short distance at first. I am loving it more. Each day I walk around my complex and now have started extending the walk just a little at a time. It gives me more energy and increases my endorfins. I have started taking longer strides and it seems to help my knees and back. I love how I feel. I would recommend these walking sticks to all that would like to do more than just look out the window and watch the world go by. I only wish I new others that used these walking sticks. Its more fun to go with someone. I am hoping to see more people out and about with them. They are great.

Wears out quickly
The treads on these tips are very shallow. I used mine for the first time yesterday and only walked 3.5 miles on paved surface. The middle part of the tread is already smooth. These will not last long at all. I was worried when I first opened the package and noticed that the tread was shallow and only straight lines across the width. Plus the foot part is not that large, compared to Leki. They were about half the price of the Leki paw tips but I think next time I will purchase the Leki because I think they will last twice as long as these.

A much loved gift
The person who we gifted with them was really excited. They are light, easy to maneuver and yet seem very sturdy for a person who needs some help with balance. Good gift!
