Worked where other adpters could not. Great for use on long distance India Rail trains!
While I'm sure that some wise engineer somewhere has lots of good reasons for why he designed the smooth, round India electrical plug standard (Type D) the way he did, he can go jump off a ledge. This Ceptics charger got the most use on my 3-week India trip and served its functions with aplomb. About 96 hours until the start of my trip, I realized that my "world" travel charger (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B016J5S8IK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) was only good for the US, UK, AUS and a chunk of the EU as all of the round pin outlet standards are not identical. I could have been cheap and lazy and just made the pins fit as the voltages did not matter for my application, but my electronics kit is expensive and worth protecting. I snagged this thing at the last minute after realizing that the Ceptics plug adapters (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007YLEQ58/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) would likely not stay in the outlets properly (I was correct). This adapter fits into the 3-pin version of the India outlet, and in most hotel and India Rail uses, the two USB ports will be aimed downward, On India Rail, this was very useful but in most of my hotels, I would have destroyed the cord as there was not enough clearance between the table/counter top and the USB socket to make the 90 degree bend. The TOTAL USB output is 2.1 amps, meaning you can charge 1 modern (2014-on) mobile quickly or two devices at an average of 1 amp per device, which is slower than most modern home phone/tablet chargers. This is not a flaw of the device at all, just a limitation to be aware of. In addition to the 2 USB ports, this plug has two places to accept plugs from all over the world except South Africa, which is clear in the advert. My devices are all USA plugs, and most useful thing this adapter offered me was a way to balance the unitary brick charger for my Lenovo Yoga laptop in the adapter without it falling out of the socket (the plug blades fold in to the brick at 90 deg; by flipping the brick upside down and inserting into the Ceptics adapter, the brick was held securely in place for charging). This was a huge trip saver as I needed my laptop for my trip and not all hotels had worldwide travel sockets. Keep in mind that this is an ADAPTER not a CONVERTOR nor does it offer significant surge protection. India sockets pump out 220-240V; while the USB sockets will output the normal and expected 5V, the plug adapters will output at 220-240V. Make sure your non-usb devices and their chargers are flex voltage (just look at the label on the charger). One more thing: the blue power light on this thing can light up a pitch black room very easily. A small piece of dark tape will solve that safely, or if you wish to still see the light but less of it, use something like 3M Blue painter's tape to dim the brightness some. Again, this is safe and will not harm you or the charger any. Though it will be consigned to my storage drawer until my next trip to India, I readily recommend you utilize a Ceptics adapter like this in addition to your worldwide multi-country adapters. c. Amazing! Charge 4x at a time all around Europe
Bought 2 of these for my wife and I before we traveled around Europe for 2 months... ended up only needing 1 it is so useful haha. Plug 2 USB cords into our phones, 1 ungrounded plug into my tablet, and 1 grounded plug into my watch... worked perfect all around Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, Spain, Portugal, etc. My only complaint is the blue LED light that lets you know it's plugged in is insanely bright and will keep you up if it's too close to your bed, so I usually have to cover it with tape or move it to another room...

Worked perfectly as USB chargers + laptop charging
Bought several of these plugs: C, E/F, Swiss and Italian versions. Used them all over Europe. Power is 220V all over Europe, but some countries (Switzerland, Italy and few others) have unique plugs, so make sure you buy the ones meant for that country. Most European countries use C (with no grounding) or E/F (with grounding - three prong equivalent). They worked perfectly. Was able to charge two phones using the USB outlets without any issues, plus used the extra outlet for computer, etc. Have since traveled extensively in Europe and used it many times. 3-4 years later, they are still going strong. Used them in hotels and trains all over. Excellent quality.

Works great, but may have clearance issues.
The adapter is of good quality and works well. However, it needs to have clear space above and below in order to plug in properly. I used the adapter in a university setting, attempting to utilize the desktop plugs. The orientation of the plugs and design of the adaptor did not allow me to use the desktop outlets. There was no room to plug the adapter in without making contact with the desk. I was able to access a floor outlet and remedy my charging issues. Lack of clearance was the only issue I had with this adapter, otherwise, I would have given it 5 stars.

Basic appliances only
This Brazil charger worked fine for charging phones and tablets, but as soon as I used a voltage-approved hair dryer (which I have used numerous times in Brazil with other adapters with no issue) the adapter burnt out, doing me no good for the rest of the trip. Perhaps a converter was necessary, but I've never had that issue before. It's unclear whether the problem was the adapter or the appliance, so for that I give this product 3 stars because it did what was needed for the most basic appliances. As a side note, be sure to check the voltage of the specific area where you're going in Brazil - it varies in different parts of the country (Northeast=220, South=110, I believe).

Nice versatile plug for India (and Ghana)
I went on a business trip to Bangalore, India and bought this plug so I could plug in my laptop, a few devices to charge, and either another charger or something else with a normal non-grounded US plug. In my case, I brought a small 2-prong to USB charger, which fits great in the top slot and gave me 3 USB plugs. This fit every plug I came across in India and worked fine for charging, including in the airports in Mumbai and Bangalore. One thing to note is that many plugs in "tech places" (i.e. hotels, office buildings, etc.), at least in Bangalore, feature universal plugs, so that you can plug most standard types (US, UK, Europe, Australia, India, etc.) into them without an adapter. However, since this also gives extra slots for USB, it's a bit more useful.

Works great!
Just got back from a trip to France and this was GREAT!! It fit nicely on our Air France flights as well plugs in our different hotels. Loved that you can plug 2 standard plugs and 2 USBs into it. I was able to charge my IPhone, Apple Watch, a battery pack and my flat iron!! Last time I went to Europe I had a different one that wouldn’t stay plugged in because it was too loose. Highly recommend this one! And the price was right!

This adapter is not reliable. Firstly it’s definitely not meant for Japan as is mentioned on the product title and description. Secondly within the first year itself, the back part of the adapter just ripped off on its own while getting unplugged.

Bought it & took it on a trip to the UK, as I couldn't find my UK laptop cable & it was the cheapest adaptor available. The inclusion of the USB charging sockets & the non earthed outlet on the top was nice, but unused. The only negative that I had to take my US laptop cable rather than my preferred Duck Head as the swan head was in danger of not allowing it to fully insert.
