Workplace Math!
Our school district added a requirement for our high school equivalency classes to have a group lesson each class and to include workplace skills as well in our teaching. This book kills two birds with one stone! There is a small lesson or refresher and then 12-15 workplace-based word problems in each lesson. After each section, there is a review test. The students like the book and the lessons are easy to comprehend. The word problems give realistic situations and really illustrate math in use outside of the classroom.
