Great for kids
The kids love it. But somehow the dice seem to favor my 4 year old and my 6 year old doesn't want to play. I don't think that's a fault of the game.

Fun, short game with kids
Great board game to play with a kid who's interested on the much larger game of Risk. We played several times and had a great time!

You can always trust the board games from Hasbro Gaming. I LOVE THIS BOARD GAME! I was a bit worried that I might receive a returned item from Amazon, since I’ve bought books before that were clearly returns. But this board game came sealed in plastic, and the box was in perfect condition — so it’s definitely brand new. The little pirate ship figures it comes with are also super cute and detailed. I can’t wait to play this game with my 6-year-old son!

I recently had the chance to play the Hasbro Risk JR Game, and overall, I found it to be an enjoyable experience. As a simplified version of the classic Risk game, it's designed to be more accessible for younger players or those new to strategy games. Components: The game comes with a game board, 4 sets of player pieces (pirate ships), 4 treasure chests, 4 reference cards, 2 dice, and a rulebook. The components are well-made and visually appealing, especially the colorful pirate ships and treasure chests. Gameplay: The objective of the game is to collect the most treasure by the end of three rounds. Players take turns rolling dice to move their ships around the board, collecting treasure, and battling other players to steal their treasure. The gameplay is simple and easy to understand, making it suitable for children aged 5 and up. Strategy: While the game is simplified compared to classic Risk, there is still a level of strategy involved. Players must decide whether to focus on collecting treasure or attacking other players to steal their treasure. There's also a risk-reward element when deciding how many dice to roll during battles. Replayability: The game offers a decent amount of replayability, thanks to the random setup of treasure tiles and the different strategies players can employ. However, it may not have the same depth or longevity as the classic Risk game, which could be a drawback for more experienced gamers. Accessibility: One of the game's strengths is its accessibility. The rules are straightforward, and the game can be set up and played relatively quickly, making it a good choice for family game nights or casual gaming sessions. Overall, Hasbro Risk JR Game is a fun and accessible introduction to strategy games for younger players or those looking for a more relaxed gaming experience. While it may not have the same depth as the classic Risk game, it offers a charming theme, well-designed components, and enough strategic gameplay to keep players engaged. I would recommend this game to families looking for a fun and easy-to-learn game to play together, especially if they have younger children who may find the classic Risk game too complex.

Good replay value for my 5 year old daughter. She loves it. Though I would prefer it to have even a single element of strategy to it as it's purely luck with slight advantage on defending.

Fun kids game. Bought for my 9 year old son. It's one of his favorite games now! It doesn't take long to learn and doesn't take long to play. Great buy!
