So good, but a little pricey!

I discovered the NuGo bars a couple of months ago when looking for a healthy lactose free protein bar, and have been a happy repeat customer since. Not only are the NuGo bars delicious (love the dark mocha flavor!), but they are also high in protein (10 grams) and fiber (depending on the flavor you choose). They are definitely worth the money, but depending on when you order they can be a bit expensive.I usually eat two of these a day, one in the morning and one before I go to bed, so one order only lasts 4-6 days depending on whether my brother steals a couple of bars. With Amazon prices usually ranging from $17-25, you may end up paying $2 just for one protein bar! Even though they are delicious and healthy, $2 is too much for me to spend on a protein bar. So, I suggest you shop around for better prices. I ordered my last boxes from Soap.com, who are currently selling them for $11-13 with free two day shipping!

Amazing. It's hard to find a protein bar that truly tastes good and even harder to find one that is amazing in flavor. NuGo Dark Chocolate Mocha is Amazingly awesome. I tried these hoping I could find just one bar that tasted good enough to have in my purse for that on the go snack when I needed something and lunch or dinner was a few hours away. NuGo fulfilled my hope in finding that need. This bar is amazing and I recommend this to anyone who needs extra protein but might be Vegan or trying to lay off the animal protein. I also needed Non GMO and non dairy since I follow Paleo and have Thyroid disorder. I will buy NuGo from now on because they are so good. I have found that awesome protein bar with true flavor.

Tasted stale. I always buy these bars and there are always crunchy good tasting nuggets inside but this flavor the nuggets were chewy and seemed very old and not how the bars usually are. Won't buy this flavor again.

I almost feel guilty eating these. They do not taste like they'd be good for you. They taste like a good quality chocolate bar.I hate it when you get a product that supposedly has chocolate listed as a main ingredient and all you taste is sugar. That isn't the case here, as there is plenty of rich, dark, chocolate flavor.If you want a chocolate protein bar that actually has a good dark chocolate flavor, these fit the bill.Really the only downside is that the flavor is so intense you may not want these to be your only protein bars. One can only eat so much chocolate before you need a break.

Taste is sort of weak, too hard and chewy. I guess I am looking for a stronger chocolate/mocha taste. If you are looking for a not too strong bar, this may be the one for you. I will not purchase these again.

The mocha flavor is yummy and the bar has a bit of a crunch. It's my workout's "carrot at the end of the stick"!
