Promar Hook Resist Replacement Net

Love the size of this net and the large bottom. Rubber netting is easy on the fish and hook resistant.Had no trouble getting it on and it looks great. Great price too.

First impressions are it seems like a quality net, but it’s not 24” deep like they advertise

This replacement was easy to install and seems to be very tough.

Rats got in our boat and chewed up the netting of my Coho Salmon net. I went to major tackle store, and they didn't have anything I liked. Mainly the store had nets that were way too deep. This net fit perfect and not overly deep. Plenty deep enough to net a Coho Salmon or Steelhead. Even got to net a Coho with it on a local river in September. Worked perfect. The rubber netting also avoids hooks from getting caught in them. We stopped using nets made out of material that the hooks get into and takes forever to get out. The Rubberized netting is the way to go when into fish biting. Net fish get gear and recording done and back in the water.

This net looks sturdy and appears to match the Beckman brand replacement net, but at 40% less.

Bought to replace knotted net on 34" wide x 37 long salmon net frame. Fits perfectly. The quality appears good. Be sure to view the YouTube installation video by Promar.

I believe the quality of the net is good but the process of replacing it for the old one was a practice in frustration! I watched the tutorial video several times during the process of trying to get the net on the frame. Bent the aluminum frame in the process but it will survive. It's on the net now but would be ashamed at how long it took. I will never, never buy this again. My time is worth something and I'd have been much better off by just buying a new net.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought the large size for my 28” hoop for salmon. Took me 5-10 minutes to install. I don’t understand why people think this is so hard to do as long as you follow their guidelines of buying a net about 2” larger than the biggest width of your hoop. I’m definitely going to buy another one of these for my smaller net. And it is 24” deep. Going to be perfect for the 20 to 30 pound salmon.

This net was very easy to install. It fit my Lucky Strike 20" net perfectly. Actually the hoop for this net was about 17" wide by 24" wide; it still fit fine. I haven't tested it yet, but is feels strong and looks great. Too bad they don't mention the hoop size on the ad. Hope this helps others.

Great product but I wish they would show the dimensions better thought xl would fit my 27x32 but it is way to big. I'll keep it for my muskie net but I'll have to order another smaller size for the salmon net.Update. Put the xl on the big basket muskie net and it's mint. Perfect size for BIG fish. Super deep. I'm actually happy I made the mistake of ordering the wrong, bigger size. Now I just ordered and received the large size and it fits my 27x32 perfect. I'll be ordering a med for the trout net for sure. Excellent. Was a bit of a witch to put on by the end you're just moving a 1/4 of an inch if that but it was fairly easy. The price isn't bad either. Very happy

Good over all

I've got the Large version for my 32"x27" salmon net and it fit just perfect. The net looks well made and the price is right. It is deep enough to hold a large salmon no doubt about it. The netting is rubberized (coated nylon), knot free, and promises to be less tangle prone and gentler on the fish, but this i will see once i put it to use this spring. The mesh holes are smaller compared to my old nylon net, I am hoping that won't make it more difficult to move the net in the water. Overall the net will be a bit heavier than before but other advantages makes this a much better option especially for releasing fish as I don't always keep the salmon i catch. Will update this review for actual performance and long term durability.
