High-quality manual lens adapter
The adapter is well built, with a solid-feeling mount to both the camera and the lens, and a satisfying, stepped aperture adjustment mechanism.The surface finish seems durable and I've had no problems with scratching and the barrel is painted black internally to reduce internal lens flaring. I haven't had any noticable issues with internal flares, although the internal paint is semi-glossy, so improvements could be made by switching to a matte-black coating.Overall, it is a good-quality manual adapter for using Sony A mount, or Minolta M-AF lenses with Sony E-mount cameras.

Use all of your old Sony A lenses on your Sony E camera
This lets you use your old E lenses or Minolta lenses on your E camera. I have just acquired a Sony A7 but can't afford any lenses so i bought this and now my Lenses from my A58 work on the A7, in manual mode but it makes me understand my camera better. It works fine and lets me understand my new camera better so a win/win.

Brilliant for attaching Sony A mount lenses to a Sony E mount camera
This is quite good for attaching Full Frame A mount lenses to Sony E Mount cameras.The only issue is that the electronics cannot connect from the lens to the camera with this mount, so the lens becomes a manual lens - which can be annoying for lenses with electronic focus rings. Apart from that, it is quite cheap and fits the part, so can't complain at all.

Old lenses on new camera
Being able to use my sony 75-300 lens from my old alpha 200 on my new a7iii for £28 although manual aperture and focus it's not a problem

Stopped me needing to buy new lenses
This was much more effective than I thought it might be, and whilst it doesn’t deliver the autofocus, I knew that already and didn’t need it. It has allowed me to keep using a few hundred quids worth of lenses on a new camera
