Vasilisa and Baba Yaga. Bilingual Russian - English Fairy Tale: Dual Language Illustrated Children's Book. (Russian and English Edition)

I was expecting a more traditional Baba Yaga story with the witch that flies around in a mortar and pestle and has the house on chicken legs. Instead it's a long story about a princess looking for a man. The English seems to be translated correctly from what I remember of my high school Russian. The images are a bizarre collection of weirdly spliced drawings or manipulated digital pictures. I was hoping for shorter stories that I could read to my son so he could hear the Russian, but there's far too much text and not a story that would appeal to him.

Love this book. Written in Russian and English. My niece enjoyed reading it in both languages.
