At Devil n Dove, this brass coupling has been a solid addition to our setup. It threads smoothly, creates a secure connection, and doesn’t leak. Perfect for our various projects where we need a strong, reliable fitting. A small but essential piece for keeping everything running efficiently!

I had to make an extension pipe for a propane manifold. This coupler saved the day! The hex nut fittings they make are 2nd to none. I have been using Anderson Metals products for quite awhile now. I have never had one fail! I recommend these to anyone that has a plumbing job.

I got perplexed installing a water hammer arrestor. The water hammer arrestor was labeled "1/4" O.D." But its male fittings were 1/4" inside diameter (I.D.). I couldn't understand why this 1/4" I.D. female coupler slid over the male fittings. The male fittings were 0.43" and this female couple is 0.455". After spending way too much time searching on the Internet I put on my mask and went to Home Depot. The plumbing aisle employee told me that the water hammer arrestor had a compression fitting. I went home and found a YouTube video explaining how to connect compression fittings. Twenty minutes later I'd installed my water hammer arrestor, with no extra parts. So I never used this brass coupler but it looks nice. :-) My pipe is 0.25" inside diameter and the outside diameter of the male threads are 0.43". This coupling has an inside diameter of the female threads of 0.44". It slides right over my pipe without engaging. Apparently there are different plumbing "standards" where "1/4-inch" means different sizes. The specs should say what the diameter of the threads are and what pipe it threads onto.
