This fishing tool has several useful features all in one neat package, including scissors, split shot crimper, a hook threader, and an eyelet cleaner. The end with the eyelet cleaner also rotates so you can use that end to hold your hook and spin it to help with knot tying, such as tying a clinch know. This is the extra hand you sometimes need when tying a knot. The tool has both a pocket clip so you can carry it in your pocket like a pen, and tether ring to hook it to a lanyard or zinger instead. The end of the scissors is a split shot crimper, so there are no sharp points, and there is a sliding lock to close the scissors when not in use. The scissors have the ability to remain open a small amount so when you have this tool clipped in your pocket you can still cut line by passing it through the modest scissors opening without having to remove the tool from your pocket. It's all-metal construction is durable and solid, but not heavy. This is a good buy.

The ad and video convinced me to buy this line clipper. It’s nicely designed but a bit bulky and heavy. It swings on my zinger as I walk. Need to tuck it away. I’m not happy how it cuts. Difficulty with small tippet line. Not sure why as the blades are perfectly aligned. The cutters blades don’t seem hard enough. I’m afraid to get too close to the hook eye in case I accidentally cut into it. My cheap pair of nail clippers does a better job. I was hoping this was THE cutters but disappointed.

To big, to heavy to hang off your jacket. The snips are to big to snip small flies. Feels like a tool for the Army rather than for fly fishing.

As an avid fly fishing guy and river steelhead/salmon guy, I think this line cutter or nail knippers are a little pricey for what it does. There really isn’t that much added benefit I’ve significantly noticed. I think you can find something cheaper with still good quality. The build of this though is pretty durable and I think the fact they made these to change out the sharpened cutters is pretty cool.
