Autofocus takes a bit of getting used to but when you do, it's very useful
I've never had autofocus binoculars before, although I remember asking in physics class all those years ago why - if prisms were always in focus - binoculars needed a focus knob. To be fair, my wife can't get used to the autofocus, but for me it means that I can lift the binoculars and immediately find what I'm looking for, instead of having to point in the right direction and then hunt the focus knob. So I catch more of these flighty birds and animals that I got the binoculars to see.I wear glasses for distance. The binoculars work well without glasses and with glasses with no need to adjust (they do move the focal distance so i can see distant but not near when looking through the binoculars). They let plenty of light in - about right for their size (the first number is the size of the front lens which is a measure of how much light gets in) - so these are fine to use at night too.Note that autofocus relies on your eyes being able to change focus (in my case, from near to middle distance). If you wear varifocal glasses (ie your eyes don't do any work) then you will either need to move the binoculars across the glasses or decide that autofocus isn't going to work for you - and go back to conventional focus knob binoculars. It isn't really "autofocus" so much as "your eyes are as auto as it gets".

Better than expected
These are not normal binoculars, these are "fixed focus", these do not need you to adjust the focus. (absolutely perfect for a group of kids, you literally need no instructions, MAYBE you need to tell them which end is which)The big downside to this type of binoculars is that you cannot see anything that's too close to you!Your eyes and brain will be what is focusing the image. It does take getting used to, while it is a natural process, it feels just a bit different since everything is bigger. If you have health issues with your eyes, you may not like these. My own two eyes usually require a heavy diopter adjustment on binoculars. Diopter adjustment is available on these. If I left the adjustment at 0, it still works but you can feel weird. So basically, if you leave diopter at 0, I think you can still hand this to another person and not require re-adjustment, but don't use it for too long, you might get headaches. The optical performance of these is competitive with all the other $20 normal binoculars on Amazon. This one is using a porro prism, so it is a bit bigger than other 25mm binoculars, it is probably not going to fit in pants pockets.Construction is solid but plastic. The rubber eyecups came a bit squished. The case it came with is surprisingly good for a product this cheap. The neck strap is much better than any other $20 binoculars. It's a strap that's not a round string, but a 1/4" wide band, so it'll hurt your skin less. Plus, it's actually adjustable.I would recommend this if you are absolutely sure you want the benefits of "fixed focus" and accept its major downsides.

not happy
Image isn't clear because the eyepieces don't line up. Fiddled with them and get better image but not perfect and it doesn't stay set.

Great Cheap Binoculars
We bought these for a trip to Maine and they worked great for the price. Clearer than other brands we tried and well worth the price.

Delivery was delayed. Product is good.
A two week projected delivery took over a month. Product fit my needs and delayed delivery only caused concern on my part.
