Arrived quickly and does what it’s meant to do

Too small for a Celestron 8SE which is a 8 inch cassegrain telescope. Sadly it doesn’t fit properly.

Possibly expensive for what it is, but it'll last for ever and it does the job.

I bought this to fit onto my Astromaster EQ114, thinking that it should be somewhere near as the outside diameter of my scope is around 6". Yeah, no. It absolutely will not fit without severe modification, simply because the velcro is nowhere near. It seems that this was made to fit either the Cassegrain or EdgeHD and nothing else. For £45, you'd think there would be at least some provision for a little leeway, but alas, I'm not giving up and sending it back. It will fit correctly, one way or the other, as soon as I contact my local seamstress.

I keep the dea shield on the scope every time I use it now because as well as helping to reduce dramatically, the chance of dew on the scope itself, it reduces the amount if extra light hitting the tube. Really handy in a Bortle 8 area.

Celestron made it fits my celestron scope. Keeps out dew and unwanted light. Rolls up to save space. Flocked on the inside to prevent reflections. Happy with purchase.

El protector de rocio es de buena calidad, el material interior es de tacto suave y evita reflejos de luz. Cubre muy bien de la formación de rocio en el telescopio, pero si hay demasiada humedad o el telescopio está apuntando hacia arriba puede llegar a empañarse de todas formas. Es un accesorio muy útil y recomendable para tener. Sin embargo, El precio me parece un poco elevado. Ya por último, yo lo uso con un Nexstar 6SE y queda excelente.

Wirklich tolle Qualität. Viel besser als die Taukappe von TS Optics, welche ich vorher hatte und deutlich günstiger. Wir an meinem Meade 2080 genutzt, welches von mir auf Losmandyschiene umgebaut wurde.

Hello Fellow Astronomers, I read that this dew shield doesn't fit the 8se telescope and quite frankly, when I got mine, I also thought it didn't fit properly. I though it should have been wider so that the whole hook-and-loop section should be used and I only overlapped the hook-and-loop by about one half. Today, I decided to overlap the whole hook-and-loop section and tried attching it to my 8se. Well, what do you know, it fits snugly and the unit is now properly fastened by the whole hook-and-loop section.
