At first, I was a little skeptical that a simple silicone mug cover could be anything more than to serve as a lid for my drink. Fortunately, Primula's Tea Bag Buddy proved me wrong. This cover truly deserves the time out of my day to write this review because it has not let me down at all in the year I've been using it almost daily. First, it does exactly what a drink cover should, it covers my cup and prevents any dust, pet hair, and small particles from getting into my drink. Second, to my surprise, this cover actually helps to keep my drink hot! For instance, just now, I made my tea, left it to steep with the Tea Bag Buddy, went to bathe my dog and dried her off, then cleaned myself, went back to the kitchen to get my tea, and the tea was still very very warm. I am truly astonished that such a simple lid can actually keep a drink hot/warm for such a long period of time. Third, the slit on the side of the lid is super handy. Not only does this simple slit serve its purpose of allowing the tea bag's string to come out and put into the string holder on the top, I found the slit to be perfect for holding and keeping my stirring spoon in place. Sometimes I like to keep a spoon around so I can stir drinks that have the tendency to separate, but it is frustrating to have the spoon tilt into or fall deeper into my drink. The slit on the side of the Tea Bag Buddy is thick enough to clamp onto my spoon and keep it from falling/tilting into my drink, which I LOVE! Fourth, the top design of the Tea Bag Buddy is so purposeful. The top of the Tea Bag Buddy is divided in half with a narrow opening in the middle to hold your tea bag's string and keep your tea bag from falling down and prevent the tea string from wicking any tea/liquid. Much like the slit on the side, I am also able to clamp my stirring spoon into the top of the Tea Bag Buddy where the string goes. So not only is it perfect for holding your tea bag in place, it is also perfect for holding your stirring spoons! Also, because it is flat at the top, it is very simple to set the Tea Bag Buddy down while you are taking a drink. Fifth, I never knew that wringing a tea bag could be easier than the traditional methods. Assuming your tea bag is being held in place by its string, all you have to do to wring your tea bag is to pick up the Tea Bag Buddy with the slit upwards (so you open the lid with the tea bag hanging in place), and then squeeze. That is it. Then just toss out your tea bag. It is really that simple. Lastly, if you cover your drink with the slit out of the cup you are essentially creating an air tight seal for your drink. For instance, when I do this with a hot drink I can see the heat creating a suction from the lid where the lid is actually being slowly sucked downward because no air could get through. Overall, the Tea Bag Buddy is definitely a must have item for tea drinkers who are looking for a cover for their drink. Most definitely FIVE STARS.

A must for tea drinkers. I use to tape the tag against the side of my mug. Now it's a lot simpler. Cleanup is easier too.

Don't know how I drank tea without it? It holds tea bag string, keeps tea warm and lets you squeeze tea bag with no mess. I don't have to run to trash to throw away tea bag. It’s the most convenient thing I’ve ever used. Easy to clean also!

This really is one of those things that I didn't know I needed until I got used to using it. Basically, you string up your teabag through the little slot at the top, with the tag on the side opposite the outer slit. You let your tea steep for however long you like, and when you're ready, you can pull the tag and draw the teabag up right next to the Buddy. Then you flip it over and use the same hand or the opposite hand to squeeze, depending on your personal dexterity and preference, getting out all of the flavorful tea mixed in with the bag. You can then flip the buddy upside down and use it as a nice tea bag holder. It doesn't require any cleaning beyond a quick rinse in the sink, and then it's ready to reuse! It will also keep your tea pretty warm for a good long time if you're not drinking it immediately. The silicone seems to be of good quality. It reminds me of a silicone muffin tray that I have, flexible but sturdy. It doesn't transfer much heat at all, so you won't burn yourself even when squeezing a fresh, hot teabag. If you're a regular tea drinker and you don't like to dirty a saucer every time you drink tea, this is a fantastic product. It would be less useful for those who use tea bags without strings or who prefer looseleaf tea, but otherwise, I highly recommend this product. Pros: - Nonstaining, easy to clean - Excellent for squeezing out the last of the tea - Great way to store the used tea bag so you don't have to leave it in and get bitter tea - Keeps tea warm until you're ready to take out the bag - Nice colors Cons: - Not very useful for bags without strings (e.g. PG Tips) - Useless for loose leaf tea (unless you're using disposable tea bags) Overall, 5/5! This is a great product.

I ordered this Tea Bag Holder cuz I love me a good cup of tea during these cold winter months. At first I thought it might be too small for the top of my somewhat larger cup but it fit perfectly! It’s everything I hoped it would be. Five Stars across the board on this one. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
