This HMI interface will plug into the back of your factory radio and will allow full functionality of the entertainment and navigation functions of your factory installed system but without the motion restrictions. Enter navigation addresses (if equipped), use the built in SD card and USB inputs for full video entertainment, and watch Blueray movies while in motion! *System must be equipped with rear seat entertainment for Blueray functionality as this will not add DVD or Blueray to your system. NOTE: System will not add navigation to non-nav equipped vehicles NOTE: If you cannot currently watch videos on your navigation screen while the vehicle is in park, this device will not add that feature. If you can watch videos on your navigation screen while in park you will now be able to watch videos while in motion using this device. This device will not add features. It will only unlock features that you currently have. *Display not included as this interface module connects to your existing factory display. Best VIM option out there.
Super simple install. Works like a charm. Not sure why some people are making such a big deal about having to press the rear defrost button 2x and hitting “Accept” in order to initialize this module. It’s pretty simple compared to other options.Took me 15 total mins to install from start to finish.

Works, HOWEVER.....
Most important fact that is NOT mentioned anywhere for this product is YOU HAVE TO "ACTIVATE" IT EVERY TIME YOU WANT TO USE IT!Example - you start up, drop your truck in drive, and hit the video icon. In order to get the video in motion, you have to press the rear window defrost button twice and then press accept on the radio screen for off road mode. The video then displays. This must be done EVERY key cycle :( Minus one star for not remembering off road mode.Using on a 2016 Yukon XL Denali. Asides from that, it does what it says. No delayed backup camera issues as others have mentioned.Worth noting that of you are picky and don't want to damage your interior trim, this thing is sort of a pita to install. Requires removal of radio screen top trim piece, rh dash front trim, cup holder surround (large), push start button and trim piece, lh knee bolster and radio bezel.

Highly recommended besides being a little overpriced for such a simple ...
Installing this little thing couldn't be simplier! The GMC YUKON DENALI head unit faceplate had to u installed completely before you can connect this up to the back of the AC control. Other than that, it's performing flawlessly with having any lagging issues. Just make sure to press the Rear Defroster button 2 times and hit Accept on the screen and you're on your way to watching video during long field trips with your family across country. Highly recommended besides being a little overpriced for such a simple box with plug-n-play really.

Works great in 2016 GMC Sierra 2500
Works as intended. Install was an easy 10 minute job. Highly recommend this product. One star deducted because the truck chimes each time I open and close a door now. Doesn't matter which door.

One of my best purchases. A wonderful device.
Umm, I wish I could give a lengthy review, but I am in love with this thing. It has made travel SO much better... The install was easy, taking the dash off on the vehicle...not so much. Once the radio was out, installed in seconds. Works great, but one thing of note... You activate by pressing the rear defrost button twice. I hear clicking in the rear, I suppose turning it on and off. Not sure if that will have lasting negative effects, will report if I notice anything. I also find that I have to "activate" sometimes more than once. Usually if I have parked and switch to reverse. It takes all of 2 seconds to do that. What I REALLY wish, and think it was shortsighted of GM to include a Bluray player in the MyLink System, but not have an HDMI input, only composite. Not cool. I hope some day, someone creates an HDMI adapter. As it is now, I use a sweet converter cable, that uses no power. Image is tolerable, for the smaller screen, I could deal with it.I had a question if this worked on a 2016. It does.
