Trying to use for macramé earrings. They keep coming apart, and the air hook bends way too easily. Do not recommend at all. Too flimsy.

These are fun, varying size/shaped hoops that make quick work of making earrings. Except for the triangle shape, one side of the wire is crimped and non-openable, while the other side can be pulled out of the uncrimped tube to add beads and other findings. After one is satisfied and finished adding embellishments, simply crimp the tube shut to make it permanent.The ear wires that come with this are the standard kind, and have a whitish, bright silver toned set as well as a yellow-gold toned set. Also included are the nice little (silicone or rubber) backings that are always convenient to have on hand. I am concerned a bit about whether the metal of the hoops and earwires will tarnish or change, but only time will tell with that.For a fun beginner jewelry project or for more experienced makers, this is an enjoyable set to try. This hoop set includes pieces that seem standard for most fashion jewelry options. If you're looking to make subtle/medium-size hooped earrings, then I would recommend this set. I found it to be amazing that the quality of this set is similar to the most affordable earrings option I've ordered from Amazon, Target, and JC Penney. If you have the patience to make your own jewelry, this a good set for practice to actually reselling (made pieces). I also would recommend having it as a backup for broken jewelry or lost earring backings as well. I hope this helps :)

Love this kit! Looks as pictured. I'm a little sensitive to certain metals. I haven't had an issue yet, but I don't wear overnight. Lightweight, obviously this depends on what you add to the frames. I'm able to use with resin or alone with crystals or beads. Metal's easy to manipulate, but because of this you have to be more careful so they retain the shape. All inclusive with endless possibilities. I really like the variety.

As a jewelry making novice, I really loved this set of a huge variety of earring making items. You get hoops and dangles and V's, along with hooks to go through your ears that you can drip beads or feathers from. This set lets me play around and practice at a great price, with a lot of options.
