Good buy
Great buy, works great.Honestly I angle grinded goals of the left lip off so that laptop cable weren’t resting on the lip (stressing the connections holding the weight of the laptop).

Most flexible height options make this one perfect for me
My wife is doing a lot of video conference calls for remote teaching. As this wasn’t something that was planned thanks to the virus situation, she’s been making due by sitting on a futon in our guest room and balancing her laptop on a chair, three reams of paper, and a lap desk. It was not ideal. So, I needed to find something that met the following criteria:1. Portable and easily stored2. Low enough to be used on a couch, but tall enough to use standing up3. SturdyOut of many options available on Amazon, this one is the only one that met all three of those criteria. Most of the other models have a minimum height of over 30 inches, so they won’t work at couch heights. Others were short and had a max height around there so wouldn’t be useful for any other purposes. This one is excellent. The only problem you may have if you are using a 15 inch laptop is if you need USB or other cables with long bodies plugged into the side. The ridge around the outside which keeps the laptop from falling off does limit your options. In the short term I just propped up the laptop in the back, but a right angle USB adapter should solve the problem. I’d rather have the ridge than not just for the sake of the laptop.Otherwise it’s sturdy, flexible in height, and folds down and disassembles easily for storage. I recommend this stand.Update: Right angle adapter solved the problem!

Quality Build
My first impression with this product was how well built and solid it is! This was very comforting since I was planning on placing a projector for my PC on it to do presentations. I was initially concerned about using a stand to place my projector on it. I grew up playing music and am quite familiar with stands that looked just like the Plixio stand. Those stands would never hold any serious weight. My worries were put to rest! I realized right away this stand was capable of supporting much more than I intended. It has a knob to adjust angle. If you are afraid that it will not hold that angle with lots of weight on it you can screw in some safety stop screws already in place which will physically prevent the surface from moving to an angle allowing items to slide/fall off. Brilliant!I have since bought another one. I am a Videographer. Before I bought the Plixio I used a portable table to set up my station. Now I use Plixio stands! I am able to set up a wireless mic receiver (heavy) with an Audio Mixer and a Tascam Recording Studio mounted on one Plixio. On the other I have my Surface Pro station and four Video Monitors setup. At the same time I have various power strips, Headphones, and other peripherals clamped and hung on the stems of both stands. In total I have about $6K worth of equipment on two stands.Even with all of this equipment mounted on these stands they are rock solid steady! I am so confident in them I feel I could still mount more on them with absolute security!Thank you Plixio! Keep making them...I'll be buying another!

STURDY PORTABLE DESK
I utilize this as a portable desk to hold my computer on stage as I update theatrical lighting installation. Drafting and electrical circuiting information needs to be updated live so that it can be documented and input to the computerized lighting control system for the performance(s). I pick-up and move constantly. This is a VERY sturdy option for me.The only downside is that there is a "lip" on all sides. As I have a slim, yet wide notebook with a 10-key number-pad in addition to the QWERTY. Thus, if I need to utilize any of the USB connectors, the pressure is too great against the computer frame. Therefore, I must 'hang' the PC over the side and work on a slight slant as to not damage the USB sockets. There are small side open notches--but not to coordinate with my USB and sometimes the power connector.I also purchased a 'microphone stand' shelf and drink-holder. I must ALWAYS have my coffee!

Great stand for my keyboard
Now this is a sturdy stand. Smooth adjustments, simple to use. I especially like how stable it is because of the quality materials. The tripod part doesn't change the height, it just shrinks or widens the triangle footprint. Even when at a small footprint, it's quite stable. It can be lowered so the 3 feet are flat. So, it's a tradeoff of how wide and low to the ground you want the feet for the most stability and perhaps more out of the way, against making it narrow. But the height remains the same. Cool mechanism. The top tray is just right. The lip is not fully across on the one side so you can plug in wires to a device, say a laptop with some sockets in the front. The tilt angle is fairly small, but there are 2 screws you can use to adjust that. I feel quite safe placing a drink cup on the tray above my keyboard.Bottom line is it looks and feels like a quality item. I just ordered a second one, before they realize they are giving you a fabulous bargain and raise the price to what it's really worth.
