I’ve been really happy with this spirulina. You only need about ½ teaspoon per drink, so the package lasts a long time. It gives a nice energy boost and blends well with smoothies too. I also use it for face masks, and it works amazingly - leaves the skin feeling soft and refreshed. Overall, great quality and value. Highly recommend for anyone who wants a simple superfood that works both inside and out!

I recently turned 60. I'm not unhealthy but I do have high blood pressure. I just wanted to give myself a gift of health. So I researched and then purchased several powdered products. Wheatgrass, chlorella, spirulina, maca, moringa, and ashwagandha. I also bought goji berries which I ground up in my ninja and bee pollen. I tried mixing these in a smoothie but could barely choke it down. Now I mix about 2 tablespoon of each all together with a couple packets of monkfruit stevia sweetener. I mix a spoonful of this with applesauce every morning and it is delicious. Last Dr. visit blood pressure was perfect. I don't know what it is really doing for me but when the flu went around at work and everyone around me was getting it I did not get sick.

The very deep green of this product is beautiful. I'm glad to know this is made in tanks with clean water and not in the oceans! I ordered tablets for hubby, I tried the powdered version thinking I'd just stir up a little in my early morning hydration routine.....well, it is really fine and didn't want to mix into water by stirring with a spoon. Whirring in blender was too troublesome so I added the 1/2 tsp of chlorella/spirulina to my early morning coconut oil. The oil picked up all of the fine powder and I just snack on it or smear it over my scrambled eggs. I've also used the coconut oil and powder combination on warm toast. It's very tasty. I will order this again. Nothing not to like !

Sure looks deep green and healthy, and I’ve read great stuff about the potential nutrition and detox qualities of the stuff. But I chose the powder, and found it made everything taste like a nasty swamp! (Hence the loss of one star, although inherent in the nature of the ingredients so possibly a little unfair.) I tried it in water, in cider water, with lemon juice and sweetener, in coffee, and in salad dressing: all awful. Finally I found a suggestion online to try it in hot broth, and that’s what works for me. I heat up some broth (half a mug or more—organic chicken broth in my case). I add a tablespoon of organic apple cider vinegar (not essential, but I needed a palatable way to take that, too). Also a drizzle of olive oil, some turmeric and garlic powder from my spice rack, and half a teaspoon of this green swamp powder. Then I blend it with a small handheld immersion blender/latte frothier. Result: healthy green broth, and not bad tasting! Of course the other option is to go with the pill form. But if I swallow too many pills it gets overwhelming and I tend to drop some. With this method, I don’t have to take chlorella/spirulina pills OR turmeric pills, and I get in my apple cider vinegar at the same time (supposed to help with insulin resistance & weight loss). And the broth helps me to comfortably delay my lunch for intermittent fasting. It’s a deep enough green to look very healthy, so if nothing else I definitely benefit from the placebo effect! 😊
