I bought this book in hopes it taught a beginner wanting to start a business is soap making. I unfortunately wasted a few days reading it and was sorely disappointed. Its brilliant if you wanna hear a woman brag about selling her company after making a few $ and whatnot. However it really doesnt teach you anything but common sense tips that you probably already know from just buying your own soaps.It is published in haste I think as there are many gramatical and spelling errors. It is poorly written, and even more poorly published. It is only for American soap makers really as alot of what she says in this just does not heed anything remotely useful for British folk.Thanks for nothing. What i needed to know was actually a quick google away and would of saved me the price i paid for this book (which was more then its worth).

I would give it no stars...as it looks to me like someone surfed through internet on how to make soap and wrote a light review, no figures, nothing which really would even help you to start...some words without explanation, no recipes, no explanation to oils, no description to ingredients, no information of varieties of molds and no technical data , that book deserves a good rubbish bin!

This book means well and is enthusiastically written, but a lot of the book's contents is telling you how to make soap. If you're interested in setting up a soap making business you will know how to do this already, so the 'real' book doesn't start until page 41 and everything before that is just wasted trees. The information you actually do need isn't there, only rather obvious general advice that you're sure to know already. I also read the book (I didn't read the first 41 pages obviously) in far less than 60 minutes and I'm a pretty slow reader. I'm an amateur soap maker wanting to sell my surplus products, and this book didn't teach me anything at all that I didn't know. Really disappointed with it.

Absolutely captivating!!! It arrived today and I've read it in one sitting, although I will go back to it as a reference -besides if you quizzed me on profit margins right now I'd fail, despite just reading about it. Already a soap-maker, but lots of new info in the book before even getting to the business section. Thank you for writing such a great overview!

Didn’t find this book inspiring enough to want to start making soap. Sounds awfully fiddly and off putting.
