iFi Audio Retro Stereo 50 Integrated Amplifier with Bluetooth - S50

Truly a remarkable product! I love the flexibility of input options and warm sound of the tubes. I was hesitant to purchase an valve/tube IA at this price point, but with all the inputs, the DAC, as well as dual headphone options I figured it was worth the gamble. If only my bets at the track would pay off like this one! It's an amazing sounding system that is also a striking change, visually, from most of the entry-level audiophile valve/tube set. It's a beautifully crafted system, inside and out. I could not find a system that gives the warmth of sound provided by the valves/tubes AND provided all the options I needed for input for my office system. The DAC is a remarkable addition and really delivers quality sound from your digital sources. Rocks a vintage pair of floor stand speakers as well as a modern, efficient bookshelves. Just remember if this is your first tube set, give it plenty of ventilation. This thing puts out some heat.. sweet, luscious heat that makes speakers sing! It's quite excellent for the price. It does everything. It's best for a first timer putting together a system. Or for a second system. If you're an audiophile like myself then I think you can find better sound for your $1500. Although you would have to give up all those nice features it has. So if you're strictly looking for the best sound then their are bette options to be had. However, with that being said the sound is easy to listen to, its fun, and just has an enjoyable sound quality to it. That can be hard to comer by at any price. Thumbs up from me. Just don't buy it from Beach Camera. They acted as if it was lost when I returned it to them. They only miraculously found it after my credit card company got involved. I don't trust them anymore.

Great sounding, very flexible integrated amp! I have never seen a single component, let alone at such a reasonable price, that offers full-tube pre and power amps, a discrete headphone amp, and a DAC all built into one box. And that box is covered with actual wood (well, bamboo anyway, which I think is a grass). The retro look also looks good to me, and the box is small enough to use in an office. My other hi-fi components are huge--this little guy is a wonder!

Amazons posted frequency response is actually for the matching speakers which are not listed. The whole kit of something like $2100. The speakers have been criticized but I find them to be sweet, full and a beautiful complement to the amplifier.This is an amazing little system. Stunning sound for a small room. I am sure it would drive my Cornwalls which are in storage. Digital connectivity via bluetooth works well though I have abandoned it for the usb DAC input and a Raspberry Pi 4 running Volumeio. I would love to hear it drive a pair of Klipsch RP-600M’s. Phonograph stage is excellent too. Am driving my Pro Ject Debut Carbon and it sounds detailed and spacious. Super sweet, I love it.
