I love owls and am fascinated by all the species as gathered in this volume!

I had no idea that there are so many different owls. This book is wonderful. The pictures are amazing and the information included with each picture is also wonderful. Nothing is overdone but you can learn a lot. It is fun.

This was a gift for my daughter, who is fascinated with owls! She absolutely adores this book, along with the life-size poster of the great horned owl on the reverse of the jacket cover! Beautiful pics and loads of information on each owl! She will be studying this for a long time!

Oh dear lord what a beautiful book. How did they ever get these photographs? Crystal clear, of exquisite owls in every imaginable, breathtaking pose. Very informative, with paragraphs concerning each owl's habits, habitat, etcetera, one species of owl to a page. Every owl printed in gorgeous color on very nice, thick paper. This book should cost twice what they're asking.I treasure this book.

As comprehensive a survey as I have encountered. Not a field guide, although perhaps the foundation for a Wish List! The diversity is fascinating, but the number that are Endangered is sad.

I struggled to say 'it's ok'. I suppose it's fine if you want a pretty picture and a few words about each owl, but no good if you actually want to gain in depth knowledge of each species.

My brother is studying zoology and absolutely loves owls. He loved this book
