Is the patch removable?

Yes, the patch comes off. The exact dimension is not real common, but you can find a few patches. Most are over-sized for it.

yes, the back has molle straps and it attaches to any webbing very easily.

7.25 x 5 x WHAT? How thick is this?

Varies due to what is in it. Mine is now almost 2" thick, but no longer 5" wide. Holds and organizes much more than the dimensions indicate.
