Easier to install than expected (Hint: Don't use power tools!)
I was expecting this job to be a real beast. I've read the reviews and tips on using an impact driver to get the screws in and the resulting horror stories of broken screws. I was concerned enough to buy a tap for the 6mm-1.0 pitch threads that seem to be the correct size. Fortunately, I didn't need the tap and I didn't break any screws in the process. The screws themselves are a little odd, they almost seem to have a triangular profile rather than being round like most screws. Don't know if that's part of their design since the holes in the truck bed aren't tapped (according to the internet, I couldn't verify due to the spray-in bedliner obscuring the holes) and maybe this is a normal design feature for a thread-forming screws that I just haven't seen before. Regardless, they went in just fine using a 1/4 socket and ratchet with the included T-30 bit. Took longer than using a power tool but it wasn't bad. The only concern I had was with a cracking noise as I tightened the screws, which I believe was just the bedliner crunching under the pressure--I can't see any damage to anything, so I think all is well.As others have mentioned, the actual cleats do have some play in them, and I saw surprised at how soft and flexible the locking mechanism is. It's basically a little plastic flap that extends from the bottom of the cleat with a lock on the bottom. When it's unlocked, you pull out on the little plastic flap or tab to slide the cleat out or in. Then you press the plastic flap into the gap (the horizontal part of the inverted "T" of the plate) and lock it with the key, which only prevents the plastic flap from being lifted. If someone wants it bad enough, they could find a way to take it. I'm not worried about it, it was just different than I anticipated.I haven't actually put them to use yet, but after installing them, I grabbed a hold and yanked on them. Had the truck rocking sideways and they seemed sturdy. I'll update the review if anything major changes, but for now they're worth 5 stars to me.

Deceptive product photo
Bought to replace the box link mounts in my truck that I didn’t have a key for.Specifically chose this item over others because it showed a security T30 bit included which led me to believe that the included screws were security screws. This would have been an upgrade from the factory screws which are not security screws.Included screws are exactly the same as the OEM screws. Just basic T30 torx. Not sure why they include a security bit for non security screws. But the photos very carefully set up no to show the screw headsFunctionally they are fine. The locking section is just a piece of plastic that you flex to pull the mounts out. Not a hinge like the factory ones.Likely less durable than the OEM but for the price I expected some reduction in fiction or quality

Very sturdy and will be very handy
Our 2020 F250 came with a bed liner. the openings were already cut out for tie-down mounts which made it look like something was missing.. I looked it up and found these... Perfect solution.. I had no longer ordered them and My wife asked if there was anything in the bed that could be used to secure items you don't want sliding around. I told her I just ordered something, and she smiled. Easy to install with self-threading screws, were a perfect fit to the mounting holes already in the truck. No holes to drill. A little crazy, it came 4 tie-downs. 2 keys per tie-down, one key fits all 4.. so we have 8 keys. They could have saved a buck or two only sending a pair of keys for the set. Leaving the mounts in place are still fairly flush with the bed liner. but removing the tie-point from the mounting plate really makes the system flush when that extra inch or two is needed.

Exactly as described. Good quality. Be patient with install.
Install took 1 hour. A few suggestions. Like others have said, use oil/grease and one screw to tap all holes before installing. Also use an impact drill on the lowest setting. They will go in. Don't rush it. That one screw taped all 16 holes and was still useable. Secondly, if you have a bed liner, do yourself a favor and cut the knockout holes larger. I started to remove the liner and stopped after struggling with it. Use a sharp box cutter and widen the holes. Much easier. All in all, they are great quality and look forward to using them.

These things work great!
They work great, since having them installed I’ve used them nearly every time i drive my truck and noticed they handle nearly everything I’ve thrown at them. One of the best purchases I’ve made for my F-150!
