Sure-Grip Stardust Glitter Roller Skate

Update: 5/2020 I’ve owned these skates now for 3yrs. I normally only used them at the indoor rink. Since Covid-19 I’ve been doing a lot of outdoor skating and trying to learn tricks. I felt I really needed to update my review. The skates have held up really well and I love the wheels, they really work well for outdoors too. BUT, the boots never really “broke-in” since they’re very hard vinyl. I was wearing ankle socks one day recently (beginning of April 2020) and decided to get a quick 15 min. skate in. I ended up with bad cuts around my left ankle (dominant leg) since there’s no padding. The cuts were so bad, I had them for over a month. I only wear thick socks now & fold them over for the extra padding around the ankle parts for whenever I’m skating outdoors with them. Overall, they are pretty skates, come with good wheels and are decently priced so I’ll give them 4 stars. Knowing what I know now, I might have spent a bit more 2 years ago and opted for a skate with padding around the ankle.Original Review : 2018I give these skates 5 stars not only for looks but overall performance indoors and outdoors. I wear a women's shoe 6.5 - 7 depending on brand/style. I purchased the Mens6/Womens 7 and they fit really great. I've worn these skates 3X and the longest time was for 2hrs skating indoors at the roller rink. My feet didn't hurt at all afterwards. I've also worn them outside on the crappiest conditions of sidewalks & streets ( cracks, rocky, uneven surfaces, terrible, terrible asphalt ) and these skates did fantastic. My daughter chose to purchase a different brand of indoor/outdoor skates. She didn't like them at all outdoors. Then she tried on these Sure Grips of mine and took them around the block. She said these skates were amazing and wish she had gone with these.

They were pretty hard the first time I put them on, but it helped that I used thick socks. Afterwards, they started to become easier and easier to tie. They did make plastic-y noise at the beginning and I wasn’t a fan of that, buuuuut I didn’t care because they’re so pretty! I love that they sparkle so much and that they’re extremely girly, like me. I did have to buy toe guards because if these get scratched, it’ll look really bad since they have a hard shell. Love love love!

I am so pleased with these. I just took them off after about an hour of skating around, getting a feel for them. I had to check to see if I still remembered. It came right back to me. These are a beautiful, solid skate. They did not hurt my feet!! I repeat: they did not hurt my feet! I have been really limited by how badly the pain has been associated with roller blade boots, ski boots, etc. It made it feel as though all hope was lost for those hobbies. I’m able to wear these for long periods of time so I can’t wait to take them on the bike path near my house. I’m really glad I sprung for these because I’m not disappointed. If you want a skate that is going to feel good, buy these.

I’m a size 8.5 in women’s (sometimes 9). I tried the 7 and 8 in men’s. From what I read, the 8 should have fit best but there was way too much room at the toes. I went with the 7s which fit perfect for length but tight on the side of my foot. I’m hoping they’ll stretch some.So pretty though!!
