Possibly these are a good support for pre-op stabilization
I'm a recently retired hand therapist who has treated everything possible over the years, and now have torn TFCCs in both wrists, along with multiple cystics and damaged ligaments caused by a degenerative disease. Can't make my own splints anymore!Possibly these are a good support for pre-op stabilization, especially during forceful activity, but did not help me. I found it difficult to put on correctly, which is hilarious for someone who has made thousands of complex splints. Also bulky and uncomfortable, and too pricey. I honestly do better using athletic (versus Kinesio) taping. However, if you need to be able to pop something on and off quickly and are also a candidate for surgical repair, this might work for you. I'd still recommend seeing a hand therapist (usually an OT, but some are PT) to determine best approach for you. These TFCC tears need good management - wow, that pain can be so intense!

It is very pinchy and scratchy. It seems it would be a great idea but comfort wise it leaves lots to be desired. Also it rises up my arm from my wrist.

I found it real helpful and as a reprieve from having the brace on the whole day....

I don't know if it was the right choice for my condition. It helps a little, it becomes a bit uncomfortable after a couple hours of wearing it.

I have a diagnosed TFCC tear and my occupational therapist suggested I purchase this. It is constructed a custom-cut industrial velcro. I wore it for two days, placed on my wrist per their instructions with the soft side of the "sticky" half of the velcro toward my skin. That layer is very stiff and I found that the edges were cutting into my wrist very uncomfortably. I reversed the band today so that the softer (non-grip) layer is closer to my skin, skipping the loops and simply overlapping the band. It feels MUCH better, and although it is more difficult to get a tight wrap this way, it is now comfortable enough to wear consistently. It still seems to stabilize my very sore, crackly wrist (I believe 18 years of yoga did the damage). I'll update this review in a few weeks to let you know how it's working.
