Berkley Gulp! Alive! Waxies Fishing Soft Bait

I love this stuff. Caught plenty of bluegill and caught a bass. One worm is enough for the whole trip.

I bought these to tip little hair jigs and wooly buggers. They work great! 1” Gulp minnows (without the jig) seem to work better, but they get torn off the hook much faster. The waxies stay on much longer, and there are about a million in the jar.

Great for ice fishing

If you have little kids with short attention spans, and need to hook up fish (bluegills) quick these work great. Bluegill have hard time knocking them off the hook and in most cases they are good for a few catches unlike dough baits. I even smash the barbs on my hooks and they stay on.

I tried the product only twice. The first time I had no luck. Next time I went fishing I started off with live waxworm and the bluegills was really biting that day, so I switched to the waxie bait and caught quite a few also. My total catch that day was 22. I always have a moist towelette because I clean my hands after handling the waxie.(smells)

Son loves catching little fish for bait. Put these on a #12 snell hook and these are gold. Saves money in the long run by not buying worms every outing. One will work almost the entire fishing trip and he can rebait his own hook. Son is five.

I tip all my flys with one of these. Triple your catch. Using for many years. Some previous poster said there were around 25 or so maggots. Not do, more like a hundred or more.
