Awesome set for my little guy. He loves holding the handles of the bottle and drinking his water for himself. Does leak if he holds the bottle upside down but I kind of expect that because of the nipple being a size 3 and faster flow. Lid works well for travelling and helping the bottle not to leak while out and about. The slippy cup part works well for yogurt drinks and smoothies.

These are our fourth purchase of these handled sippy cups to attach to our larger Avent bottles as makeshift “water bottles” for our twins (now almost 2, but sometimes Mom needs to be able to step away and still be able to be pretty sure she won’t come back to dehydrated kids or an entire open cup dumped on the floor) and I can’t say enough good things about them. There are always reviewers that say they leak and I have to assume those reviewers either have items with dramatic factory errors or else are doing something extremely wrong - avent bottles have never leaked on us except once or twice when great-grandma didn’t attach the nipple right or something. Anyway, the soft spouts have a wide flow that will satisfy almost-2y/os but that can still be tossed around out of a car seat with no leaking - and no extra valves to clean. We went through 4 other brands of spout cup for times when straws/open cups aren’t appropriate, and we always come back to this. Why fix what isn’t broken?

I know traditionally most families introduce sippy cups with a straw, but I felt like it was counterproductive. We were in search of a “transition cup” and found this. Bear with me here, but if the goal for our littles is to use a regular cup, introducing and encouraging them to use cups with straws that can’t be tipped and are bad for their teeth felt like the wrong choice for our family. The miracle 360 cups are amazing for this, but our 8 month old is still on a bottle and a little too aggressive with his chugging on the 360 as a result. He ended up choking on his water and scaring mama more often than not. Enter this cup. Aka a great transition cup for those looking to teach their little to use an actual cup while they are still bottle or breastfeeding. We introduced this with the bottle nipple (as he’s currently still on the bottle) to teach our little guy to hold and tip his own cup. We left it on the floor during playtime. Once he mastered that we swapped the nipple for the larger flow, more sippy cup like nipple (also included) to teach him to control the flow and drink less aggressively. Once he masters this we will transition to the miracle 360 cup and there you have it. Worth it, plus he took to this cup right away as he uses Avent bottles and it felt familiar.
