I was looking for a charging station that would allow me to use my own MagSafe chargers. I like the improvements made to the way the cables are routed and the way the watch charger sits in the holder. I picked this station because it would allow my watch to face the same way as the phone allowing me to use it like an old style digital clock. The only thing that I personally find wrong with it is on the rare times I remove the phone from the charger by lifting the left side of the phone the charger starts to come out of its holder. It comes out just a little bit. The Apple MagSafe phone charger fits snug but the magnet is pretty strong and don’t see it getting a tighter fit without using screws to anchor it. I just lift the phone from the right side and the problem is solved. The price, functionality for my needs, build quality, and style are all great.

With my iPhone and apple watch and the chargers it was very chaotic on my night stand and I looked though Amazon for some type of solution I saw a few stands but that came already with chargers I know from experience these cords do not last and so you will be back to square one. When I saw this one I got a little excited because you could use your own apple pucks and it was metal, I just hoped it was not cheep metal and too light and fall over. Well I got it and yes it was a little confusing putting it together with basically no instructions. Once together it is really sturdy and now my second concern will it hold my phone with a cover on it. The magsafe magnet is not very strong or has a strong bond with the cover on. To my surprise the phone stayed and the apple watch I had no concerns with it. The cords go neatly behind it.

Inexpensive, well built, and practically no chance of failure. Because you need to use the OEM Apple chargers in the unit there is little chance of having an electrical failure and the magnetic hold is OEM quality. There are no electronics in this stand. The unit is well made, sturdy and very stable. While the Apple Watch charger doesn’t stick out as much as other charging stands I’ve tried, I had no problem getting my watch to charge. The only two minor issues that I have with it are: 1. You can only charge the iPhone 12 Pro Max in portrait mode while your Apple Watch is also charging. If you try to charge it in landscape mode there isn’t enough room. (See Picture). It shouldn’t be problem for the other iPhone 12 models. 2. You end up with two wires coming out the back which need two USB ports to plug into. I Initially purchased a more expensive (2.5x the price) 3-in-1charger that was of similar design, but had the addition of a wireless earbud charger pad. That model which is available on Amazon under many brand names is very close to the OEM Apple/Belkin charger design. But after a month of use the iPhone charger pad stopped working. When I investigated the problem, I found that the heat from the earbud wireless charger had melted the internal wiring which caused the failure. While I could have received a replacement, I think the same failure would occur again if I were to use the wireless earbud charger regularly, since it did always run hot. If I were to forgo using the earbud charger why spend 2.5x the price of this unit when I already had the OEM chargers.

(Here’s the photo I received after I gave it to my brother as a Father’s Day gift .) He had recently gotten an Apple Watch so I knew right away that I wanted to get him a charging station. I spent a LOT of time researching different charging stations and I found that even some the “best” stations out there can have issues with charging after a few months of use. I figured even with this one even if one of the chargers fail, the recipient can replace the chargers and keep using the stand. So, I pulled the trigger and bought it. And I which brings me to the only con that I have about this product. After giving this as a gift and my brother opening it I realize that he had to put it together piece by piece. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t hard nor did it take up much time but still.. I don’t really like giving a gift that somebody else has to put together. But still worth every star in my rating. It’s metal, (which gives it a natural weight & nice feel,) seems very sturdy and has a simple, modern look, And I was told it was very simple to feed the Apple chargers through it. To be honest, if I had my own Apple Watch I would buy one for myself! Great product, my brother loved it which made it a very successful gift, Worth every penny!

Really well made. The cables fit snugly into the cable grooves. The Apple mag chargers fit perfectly - and I do mean perfectly into their holders. My problem is I want to have the phone horizontal to use night mode. BUT - then the watch doesn't fit with the iPhone in a magcharger case. It does fit just barely if the case is removed but I'm not comfortable with my phone unprotected. A minor nit would be to add a small plastic piece to cover where the cables feed through. The reason is that the cables are unsupported and that can "encourage" them to come out of their grooves. Plus it would just look nicer without the white cables sticking out against the sleek black of the stand. If the vendor sees this - add 5mm distance between the two adapters and this would have gotten a glowing review.

A lot of the other MagSafe iPhone + Apple Watch stands have a combination of proprietary chargers, high prices, or 3D-printed plastic. This was the first one I came across that avoided all of those pitfalls. Since Apple only allows MFi MagSafe chargers to charge at the full 15w, most of the MagSafe stands on Amazon to peak at 7.5w or maybe 10w. Belkin has a $130 (!!!) charger that charges at the full 15w, but for those like me who don’t want to spend that much, this stand uses your existing ($34) MagSafe charger from Apple. Make sure to use the 20w wall charger from Apple to actually get the full 15w via MagSafe. At $20, I was not expecting quality, like the cheap silicone flat-stand I was using before this, but I am very impressed. It came in a small box, and putting it together was easy though there are no directions. The thick-head screws go into the base, and the thin-head screws go into the top. The included Allen wrenches are welcome, but it’d be better if the screws used the same size instead of needing two different wrenches. The base has sticky spots to stay put when pulling the phone off the charger, which is fine but may not be for everyone. It’s made of a sharp-looking aluminum alloy, which I hope means it will last a long time. The description and photos don’t do the look justice; the edges & corners are all polished to a silver shine, and are striking against the deep black of the base. Overall, I’m very impressed for $20. I wish the base was weighted instead of using sticky tape to stay put when pulling the phone off, but I’d imagine having to pay $50+ for that. This will do.

It don’t work on MagSafe 25W because of the difference in the dice of the charger. It pops off all the time and make it useless
