Easy Installation
The spring-loaded attachment clips easily allows the new LED fixture to be installed into an existing hole. It looks like the trim cover would work to retrofit an existing GWB hole from 6-1/8" to 6-6/8". The LED fixture and battery pack are also compact, allowing us to leave the old battery in the joist bay and still have space to install this retrofit unit, which is fortunate, because there was no access to the old battery pack.

Open splice
I don’t get how people are installing the emergency lights legally the only way to install the emergency driver with these lights is to have an open splice, unless you go out and buy a metal box to hold the emergency driver like I did, pretty dumb design. I was not happy when I found this out. It made my installation on my job more complicated than it had to be.
