Would a engine with a bad motor mount or two affect the curing process?

Accepted Answer

Unless your motor mounts are extremely bad I.E. your whole engine shakes around like an unbalanced washing machine, then it should not affect the curing process. If they are in fact that bad, then you should probably fix that before applying wet paint and attempting to cure it with a massive vibrator.

How long can VHT102 paint be on surface before curing process starts?

None of these answers are accurate. VHT Flame-proof paints require the user to cure the paint by applying heat in a baking style. If you are applying the paint to an object that you've removed from the vehicle: (1) Let paint dry completely. (2) Heat to 250°F for 30 minutes. (3) Cool for 30 minutes. (4) Heat to 400°F for 30 minutes. (5) Cool for 30 minutes. (6) Heat to 650°F for 30 minutes.
If you can't fit the part that you're painting in the oven, then you'll have to put it back on the vehicle and follow the instructions for curing the paint while on your vehicle: (1) Let paint dry completely. (2) Run at idle for 10 minutes. (3) Cool for 20 minutes. (4) Run at idle for 20 minutes. (5) Cool for 20 minutes. (6) Run under normal operating conditions for 30 minutes.

can this be used for arts and crafts to and not just cars?

I don't see why you couldn't use this for other applications but if your not going to be heating your crafts to over 1000* why would you need a high heat clear coat.

Can I use this on a firepit to prevent rust?

Yes but any paint will do that as long as you clean the rust off . All your doing is keeping the water and air from getting to the raw metal . The high tempPaint has to be bake in an oven to 600*F
