As a cooking enthusiast and as a person with not a gentle touch, this skimmer passed the test. Our last skimmer had a plastic handle and a coating and both melted in the cooking process. In contrast, this is durable, dishwasher safe, never falls into the pot because of the hook handle, and stainless steel benefits make this a must in any kitchen.
