Great ltem I think?
Funny story I had this and a shaking rainbow, flasher all kinds of weights like $19 in gear and I screwed up the first knot and everything just plunged right into the lake I didn’t fish with this for one second that was my fault.

Excellent product. Yes it works.
I have used these for years. Easy instructions and a quick reference chart to put it to the depth you need to troll. Important note, do not leave in a tackle box with loose plastic baits! Yes it will melt them.

Negative Reviewers are obviously doing something wrong!
First of all, it's really ironic that I'm bothering to write this review, because I usually don't believe much of anything I read concerning reviews. I've been around enough "regular folks" to know how inept the average consumer is with mechanical and technological things, and that fact usually rears it's ugly head in the form of negative product reviews, enough to destroy a product's reputation and salability in a real way. It was actually my total distrust of the negative reviews that prompted me to purchase 4 of these in multiple colors. I'm glad I did, and here's my review:I troll Lake Erie for walleyes about once a week. Generally, if the fish are within 40 ft. of the surface, I use Jet 40's off of big planer boards and catch fish all day long, adjusting depth with the amount of line I put out. However as the summer season progresses and the fish suspend at deeper depths, the Jets don't get them down that low and I need to use a different tactic.Traditionally I have three options, flat-lining with steel wire, downriggers and Dipsey Divers. Braided fishing line is hard enough to deal with when it tangles, so having 250+ ft. of steel wire dragging behind the boat is not palatable to me at this time. I also refuse to drill holes in the gunnels of my Grady-White for riggers and Dipsey Divers are a royal P.I.T.A.! I settled on these as a hopeful experiment.I took 4 guys out one evening to our regular spots and marked fish at 50-55 ft. We had an understanding beforehand that we were experimenting and it might be a dry trip. We set the divers accordingly, bracketing the depths to find the sweet spot and in 3 1/2 hours, caught 10 walleyes; not bad for evening fishing. The telling thing was the fact that the lines that were catching were set at the 50 ft. mark, according to the package instructions. Due to this, lacking any independent dive data to suggest otherwise, I conclude that the dive data from the manufacturer is at least acceptable, and possibly quite accurate. One real advantage that these will have over even the Jet 40's is you don't have any more than 120ft. of line out no matter how deep you're fishing, which is really useful in preventing tangles.Concerning the negative reviews regarding these bing finicky with trolling speed and divers flipping and surfacing, we trolled anywhere from 1.7kts. to 3.2kts. without ANY instances of this happening. We did use snap swivels at the ends of the line and leader as well as directly on both sides of the divers, essentially "doubling up" the snap swivels at the diver connections. We were not using any diving lures, just crawler harnesses and large spoons, like the manufacturer recommends.I have given them 4 stars due to the fact that I have not tested them throughout their full advertised range; I don't think I'm entitled to give them 5 stars at this time. I will continue to experiment with these at deeper depths and who knows, perhaps they have limitations that I have yet to determine. But that said, I wanted to give my two cents on these as I suspect they have been given a bad rap by some "folks" that are probably not using them correctly. I believe it is a good worthwhile product and I would not hesitate to recommend these to anyone fishing at least down to 50-60 ft. possibly deeper.

Smaller Specs Shown
The info on the product says it is 6 x 4 x 2 inches, what you get sent is 4x3x2.I Salmon fish using a flasher , can't get to depth I want. Just too small to do the job.
