OrientMen's 'Ray II Rubber' Japanese Automatic Stainless Steel Diving Watch, Color:Silver-Toned (Model: FAA02008D9)
L**.
A perfect first Automatic and Orient.
Description on Amazon shows watch band size to be 20mm when it’s actually 22mm. Watch is really nice & top quality. Attention to detail is spot on. Not heavy yet you know it’s there. The rubber band like others say is too long. I ordered a shorter generic one. I may cut the original band down some. Easy to set date, day & time. This is the smallest watch I’ve owned at 41mm so it took me a day to get use to it. Makes a handsome statement without being huge. Sits well on wrist with no hot spots. Highly recommended.

Best quality for the price
If you need a great quality automatic watch for the price, this is it. The beautiful blue dial really stands out and it looks great with a suit as well as jeans. The day & date displays are easy to read and has a rotating bezel for timing up to one hour. It is dive certified at 200m but I don’t dive anymore so it’s a novelty at this point.

A five star watch with a four star problem…
What a great watch! I gave this timepiece five stars in accuracy (mine gained 5 seconds one night but lost it the following night), five in comfort (I love the resin band) and five stars in value! $129 for an automatic dive watch with a 200 meter water resistance rating, incredible lume, and the most beautiful blue face I’ve yet seen? Yes, please! The fit and finish on this beauty is incredible and it has a very solid feel. I love the simple look of the dial and the the sweeping second hand is wonderful. As a watch guy, I always look closely enough to see the second hand ticking along but to the un-anointed it appears to smoothly slide around the face. I am still surprised at how comfortable the resin band is. It was a little stiff out of the box, but the warmth of my arm has loosened it up nicely. And the ying and yang dolphin design is very attractive and a bit of a conversation point. The reflection of my computer screen makes the lugs in the above photo look blue but it has a nice brushed finish and the sides have a clean mirror shine to them. I do wish the back of this piece was glass so i could see the works But I can live without it (especially for only just over a hundred bucks). My only complaint is with the crown. Stop me if you’ve heard this. The watch came out of the box with the crown unscrewed, which i thought was weird, but after setting the time and date I discovered why. I am a big, strong, guy but I had to REALLY put my back into screwing this thing in. I half expected the works to burst out the opposite side. A watch this nice should not require as much sweat and grunting as I expended just to put the crown back. I came within inches of giving up and sending this thing back. it was that difficult. The real issue is that many out there might give up and end up getting moisture in their supposedly water resistant watches. if I didn’t love the look and feel of this piece as much as I do I would have take away more than one star for this.In conclusion this watch is well worth the money. And If the crown is as much a problem for you as it was for me…go seek out a good jeweler. This watch is worth the extra chance.

Beautiful
Accurate and beautiful. The strap is a bit long for my wrist but I can’t complain. Great lume too

Best automatic diver watch for starters
Great looking watch, good price/value ratio. Easy to read hour and date, comfortable silicon strap. High hopes on Orient's quality and precision, it seems to be about +15 seconds per day. Initially 5 stars, will update review if needed.** Edit 1 month laterI use my Orient every day, including daily 40 min. commute by bicycle. I even raided a couple of days under heavy rain. Feels great knowing both watch and band are made for the task.Dress code at work is Business Casual, so this watch fits perfectly well, not too dressy and not too sporty.Being my first automatic watch, I didn't knew accuracy varies according to how you put your watch to rest at night. After reading about this, I experimented by placing it on a different position every night, and found that leaving it in vertical position crown to the right (look at the picture) makes it gain about 2 seconds/12 hours. After this, average accuracy has been about +7 seconds/24 hours, which seems to be great by mechanical watch standards.I wish the band were shorter, I have 7" wrists and I have tu use it on 1 or 2 holes before the last, so part of the band "floats" over the back of my wrist.Overall, very satisfied.** Edit after 2 monthsI replaced the silicon strap with a NATO, comfort is significantly improved, I never seemed to find the right hole to use with the rubber strap.Ray II looks great with a black NATO, highly recommended. Now I want to try different colors to cope with this new addiction.

Best Watch Purchase
I have purchased a large number of watches over the years, and I have been disappointed by either the size or the thickness or luminance of the face. Thus watch is the perfect size and thickness as I have small wrist. The watch is beautiful and has screw down crown with day/date window. The band is a hard rubber and is quite long, so I had to trim the end. This watch is automatic, so no need to ever have a Battery but beware if you do not wear for a few days, you will have to wind and reset the time and date. This is a very comfortable and stylish watch and I am so glad I have finally found one that pretty much meets every need.
