Wilderness Survival Guide: Practical Skills for the Outdoor Adventurer

I love all things outdoors but, as much as I've been in the mountains, I'm no where near an expert. There's a lot of information floating out there by so called experts it's hard to know what to trust. That's why I'm glad to have found this book by a verifiable survival expert backed up by other experts.This book is fairly easy to understand and holds an immense amount of information. As a bonus, it's the right size to easily fit in any type of backpack. Meaning, you don't have try and remember every detail before venturing outside. Plus, what's probably going to die or not work in the middle of nowhere at the most inopportune moment? Your phone. Bring this book!

I love how this book is broken out. It has check lists (major bonus) and covers a ton of information. Topics like fire making, water, knots, shelters, and my favorite traps.Book is broken out into easy to reference chapters with yellow pages for additional tips, packing lists, and illustrations.Great information easy to read and easy to pack. I love this book! I have kids so I need something that allows me to go through each area and work on the basics, get a new perspective, and add some new tips and skills before heading out. It's the perfect size for my pack and full of helpful checklists and suggested gear. If you hike, bike, hunt, fish, love to roadtrip or enjoy the outdoors in any way you really need this book regardless of your skill level.

Doesn't really go into details about much just gives you a general idea, general advice and basic knowled.. you still have to google stuff you read about to full understand and learn it

There's a lot of bang for your buck in this book.Has everything you need to know to make it in a survival situation (or to have more fun camping). Easy to understand instructions and excellent diagrams add to the experience.It's also the perfect size for your BOB (bug out bag), GHB (get home bag) or your hiking knapsack.Don't leave home without it!

Great book for all! Love how it is laid out and starts out with the simple things before you even leave the house. The pics and diagrams really make it easy for anyone to understand.Tons of great information and love the smaller format, makes it easy to stuff into your pack.

it was not good

This is a good review for the experienced hiker, camper, hunter, fisher person, etc. One never knows when something unexpected may put you into a survival situation. It best to know at least a minimum of survival skills.
