Best looking rocket out there
Not an easy build but sooooo worth it! Classic style! Cant wait to launch it. Be careful assembling the tower and align the pieces before hand to avoid surprises. I highly recommend!

Coolest looking rocket I've built
I really think this is a good looking rocket. It was not, however, easy to build, and the escape tower was particularly tough (and I'm an adult, not a 12 year old). Nevertheless, it was challenging, and very rewarding when it finally came together. And it flew wonderfully. Some rockets might be put together in an hour, but this took time and patience, and it's now on display.

Absolutely Gorgeous Model
What does a retired Aerospace Machinist with too much time on his hands do?Absolutely beautiful model. The only problem that I really have is that the nose cone is not ready for prime time! I ended up getting a different nose cone for flight, as I knew that this one would be destroyed on the first flight, which turned out to be a whole another issue altogether. The tube used for this model is odd, bigger than a 2 inch. So a 2-inch nose cone would slide right down the tube. Ended up needing to build the circumference and a lip for the flight cone.I am setting up the flight nose cone for a separate descent on its own nine inch parachute, giving the kids 2 targets to recover.Other than those two issues, I absolutely love it...I am thinking about getting a 1/35th model. Boyce, aerospace hobbies Mercury Redstone nose cone which looks sturdier and mainly, it is replaceable. But it also fits a BT 2.0, so build-up would be required also.Anyways, I Love It!!!

Great kit! Need some modeling skills
I had no trouble with the kit. If you’re having troubles with the Escape Tower, masking tape works wonders, and keeps your hands free for other tasks. I used Tamiya extra thin cement.I built this kit in the early 70’s. The capsule and the Escape tower were wood. A couple of 3/32” dowels that you had to cut to a pattern! The capsule had a card stock wrap-around with the markings on it, that was fun🤨!The new styrene capsule and tower facilitate this build immensely!
