This is a perfect fit for my Weber Smokey Mountain smoker and the material seems of good quality and very similar (if not the same) as the old grommet that it replaced. I used it for several cooks now and I'm very happy with it.

I had to change out the original plug a few years back but since they these have lasted. I plan on increasing the frequency of my smoke sessions so figured I would up the stock.

Bought a step bit also, per the suggestions in the reviews, and this a simple install on my Weber kettle grill. I've ruined two probe wires running them under the lid, so these grommets and the bit have already paid for themselves. Probes ain't cheap!

Timely delivery, and works as I hoped. The install on my Pit Boss was straight forward. Used a step drill bit to enlarge the probe hole, and it popped right into place. Be mindful of the required hole size for the flanges to work properly. Plenty of videos on YouTube to review a similar install.

These are made of something different than the Weber ones. They flex but not like the webers do. They do fit true and definitely seal up tight but you can see the grommet turn white from stress when flexed to put into place. Not bad if you need um next day like I did but I will look for something more like the Weber next time.

I bought these to use on my Weber Smokey Mountain. They will work, but I have not changed that out, yet.What I just did, is I drilled the vent holes in the lid of my Rival roaster out to 1-1/4” and installed grommets in them. I typically smoke my pork butts or shoulders to 165 F (the stall) and them bring them inside and finish them low and slow in the roaster. The grommets let me put probes in the meat and monitor oven temp.

The item arrived promptly and fit into my bbq very well. The dimensions were exactly as described.

I bought these probe ports, i bought this step drill bit.. Drill a pilot hole first, It takes some elbow grease to get thru the Weber, and do it from inside out, but when you Finally get thru with this Step Bit, you have to use a round file and file off some drill peel, The gromet fit in perfect to the Full hole the step drill made..

Added this to my Weber Smokey mountain and kettle grill. Makes cable management so much better. As advertised, good quality.
