Would this pad protect my full knee replace from hurting when I do for example child pose or lion and cat poses ?

It will protect more that just a yoga mat. I had minor knee surgery and I use this pad for yoga and any other time I need my knees on the floor, ie. painting walls at the baseboards etc., it works great. I highly recommend this pad.

My husband I both have this and did not get a free bag. We find it very hard to carry around. How can we get a bag?

My mat arrived in a black nylon carry bag. I suggest you go back through your Amazon order, find the company’s contact in formation and notify them about the missing bags. I have also found that is you mention your dissatisfaction through Amazon comments, many companies will contact you to make things right.

would the velcro be in the way if I never use it? I don't need that feature but don't want to peel it off the pad.

Hello! If you're using a yoga towel, one end of the Velcro may stick to it, but it shouldn't get in the way too much. We're actually planning to redesign our mat without the Velcro feature since it's been requested by so many customers. It should arrive in a couple of months! :)
