Sturdy, easy to use
I've had these for about two months now and have used them to fell standing tree as well as to cut up downed trees that were in difficult cutting positions. They're easy to insert and tap into the cut, and just as easy to remove or re-position. They stand up to pretty heavy-duty demands - I used them on a huge Knottty Pine with a trunk about 28 inches in diameter and they performed just as well as the 6-inch oak I did before that. The carrying bag is cheap crap and can be tossed out upon delivery - no one buys these things for the carrying bag anyway, I don't know they even bother! Anyway, a great product for a great price.

Timber!
We live on wooded property and had a couple of trees that I deemed to close for comfort to our home to be safe. I am not a trained lumber jack but I have observed enough and have cut a many trees successfully. We were able to take down a 12ft tall tree successfully and it was located less than 10ft away from our home so, it could have gone horribly wrong but, with using the wedges provided in the set we were able to make sure the tree went the right way down and it did!! I am not trying to tell just anyone to start cutting large trees down with these based on a review still ensure you check the growth direction of the tree as in lean up against the tree as your facing it and look up, which way does the tree seem to be going, also ensure there is little to no wind as that can change everything.

Withstand heavy use.
Held up just fine felling and bunking some 24” white oaks in cold weather. No breakage or chipping. Ran over one with tractor on frozen ground and bent it. Stuck it in 200 degree oven for a while and straighted out with clamps. No problem. Just carry them in a heavier tool bag though because the mesh bag wont hold up. I’ll be buying more from these guys whenever I do tear these up.

They do the job
I’ve used this type before and I put a 2x4 board over the end when I set them in the tree. Hitting them with a small faced hammer can and will crack them so the board absorbs the impact. I have had another set of these and been using them for over five years.

Highly recommend these
These are a great value for the money. They do everything you expect from wedges when cutting tree's down. I appreciate the confidence they provide me when I'm dropping a tree especially in confined area's. I have beat the heck out of these with few marks on them to show for the abuse. I recommend them for sure.
